I was wondering if anyone uses a solo rake and how they get on with it? my horse won,t let me go near him with a pulling comb and I want to give his tail a pulled look instead of plaiting it for shows.

I use one and they are really good. My horse is a wuss when it comes to pulling too. I think it gives a really neat look.

i dont think the solo rake is the best one, but its not the worst.
The best one i had was from or called smart tails. I didnt rate the Derby house one or the oster one (which didnt work at all)
manes - they are good for thinning, but if you want to plait, it makes it more difficult as youve lots of 'bits' everywhere.
tails - i think it gives a really neat, nice, finish, probably will never pull a tail again.
I use it on one of mine that will throw you through a wall if you try pulling, and it looks pretty good on her.

I think I will definately invest in one as have had enough of plaiting tails and in my opinion looks very smart
