My experience with Solution is that if the shims are fastened together, with velcro or something, the whole saddle is stable. I did have problems with shims sliding if they were on top of each other. My Draft mare needed two on the right side of the saddle until her muscles built up and they were a pain, until i got it sorted out. They tended to move before I mounted though, rather than afterwards. I really liked the saddle for her, it fitted her better than the 4 previous ones! And allowed her muscles to build up correctly. I found it very comfortable too. The same saddle fits the cob who is built differently, although both short-backed.

The gulleted originals (Freestyle, Jumper, GP) are more stable than the Energist or Ansur Classic, but Energist fans prefer the truly close contact feel of the Energist. I always found the Energist too flat in the seat for my liking, but some horses go better in them.
