Solved my lungeing problem!

Well, a few weeks ago I couldn't lunge ponio. He knew what he was supposed to do but just would NOT do it. He would either tank off or turn in at me and walk really fast at me so I couldn't push him back out.

Anyway, after a lot of growling and shouting over the past few weeks this morning I lunged him (only for a minute to see him move in his new shoes!) in just his headcollar and without a whip...and he did it! Woohooo!

Sorry, v self indulgent post but this has been quite a breakthrough for me!

Tell me about it, when I tried George I saw him lunged - no probs, but when inexperienced me tried he took me for a ride, but now a few weeks later he his lunging great!

hmmm I doubt it xxkatyxx, he looks like a hippo this week...back on restricted grazing next week I think!!

I think anyone who has been using restricted grazing has had to throw that idea out of the window lately. I wonder how many ponies are still in piggy paddocks but up to their knees in mud??
