I've had a horse on loan for nearly a year and it's time for her to go back but the owner seems to have disappeared! Notified the owner in writing in Feb and again in April giving the date of 31st May for the return-offered return transport. Text her last Thurs (know it's the right number) asking if she has anything sorted for the mares return yet but still no response from her - haven't had any since my letter in April (I know she received it as I sent it recorded delivery and she signed for it) So, advice please-any ideas where I go from here?

Will try that thanks, but her preferred method of comunication has always been by text. Written contract was for year.

The owner has been increasingly difficult to deal with a time has gone on and is not very pleasant so yes I do want the horse to go back to get rid of the owner!

Send her another recorded letter informing that full livery of £x will be charged per day from June 1st. If possible go round in person and deliver a copy of the letter as well.

Do you want the horse to go back? Can you make an offer on the horse, it seems she's not interested in having it back but may be interested in selling?
