Hi

I had an eventing accident in 2007 and I am paralysed from the chest down. I fundraise to help cure paralysis. We all know riding has its risks and the support I have had is incredible..I feel lucky. I have put together an online auction to raise money for the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation who are so close to getting a cure that I even think I could be eventing again!

Included in the auction:
Dubarry boots, Ariat boots, 4 tickets for European eventing champs 2015 at Blair riders/owners drinks reception in the castle, indoor skydiving with Greg Rutherford , spa breaks, lessons with top riders, event passes, days out, golf days etc etc 100 generous people have donated... now just need people to spread the word using social media and get bidding...

Download a brochure. Lets cure paralysis, and not only get people walking, but regain sensation again... (and riding ;) )

Thanks for the info - you came to talk to the students at the school where I work when you were doing your bike challenge and you were very inspirational, the students still talk about it. - I'd better start bidding :)

Tring School in Hertfordshire, you had your little one with you who amused several students whilst the Assistant Head was talking. I remember we lined all the students up outside to send you off on the challenge.

Thank you both- definitely don't mind putting on FB - PLEASE DO... everyone... people have been so kind with this auction and now just want people to grab the great items by bidding...so massive tanks to you that help spread the word... paralysis soon won't be forever- there will a cure :) x

Hi Claire, a lot of us on here were really inspired by your walk . Many of us gave and then gave again. You are so right about the leaps forward in our understanding of spinal damage and what can be done. There is some amazing stuff turning up . I never dreamed ,during your amazing walk ,how close I would come to breaking my own back in an xc fall I am so fortunate ,and I keep having to remind myself of this, that what paralysis I have been left with is more of an inconvenience . Its not just money ,you give inspiration.

Brilliant, I have shared on FB and just counting the pennies for some of those auction lots.

Also noticed on the site you have some of your jewellery :D I have a lovely pearl bracelet you made a few years ago, stil wear it and love it. Will be taking up you offer on the pearl earrings to match.

Best of luck X

Ouch! Claire ,the method of bidding is a bit user unfriendly. Us older generation have only just learnt to click on links and expect to be lead through the system . Will try however ,a course walk (or limp in my case ) with Lucinda ,sounds great .

Hi everyone-

Take the time to look- share on social media, encourage people to look and bid!
