I am so upset......its gone from outside my house over night. The steering lock has just been bent off like a piece of wire. I live in a cul de sac and I bet no one saw anything either. I am absolutely livid.
I expect its already locked away for dismantling somewhere but if anyone sees a beige landrover 90 with white roof/sides reg no G407 TUD its mine. Luckily there wasn't anything valuable in it

my friends husband is a landy specialist who works all over the country. I'll pass your car details onto him

Thanks Daisy, I have made my debut on that forum and let them all know.
Can't tell you how mad I am....and I miss it already!!!.....theres just an empty space on the drive where he was

I can't begin to imagine how furious you are. I've never had a car stolen but the windows have been smashed on plenty of occassions and someone attempted to steal mine once but left it with a smashed window, it wasn't until I got in it later that night that it turned out they'd smashed the steering lock too and I had to get someone to come and fix the steering wheel. All my cds etc were scattered down the road, needless to say, absolutely nothing gets kept in it now.

Hope you get something from that forum or someone can help.

i know how you feel. when i found mine missign i thought my mum mightve taken it and gone to the horses/shopping, when i realised she was still in bed it became reality.
Ours was towed off our drive! there wasnt any other way they couldve got it off due to the steepness and the alarm never went off either.

sorry to say but i doubt hell be found

mine hasnt been, think the police gave up looking straight away. hope your insurance pays out quickly and smoothly

Someone stole my Jeep Grand Cherokee last summer. However, the police found it, following a rather dramatic car chase after a drive off from a petrol station. The idiots had probably tried to sell it, no-one would touch it as obviously stolen, so they drove around Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire like maniacs and were spotted several times. Fortunately, apart from the fried brakes, it was undamaged. Itw as less fortunate that all my horsy gear was in it other than my saddle and bridle, ready to go for a show, and I lost all that, my boots, hat, horse's brushing boots, and everything. Apparatently quite a lot of stolen cars are recovered.

My mum's had hers stolen off the drive outside our house twice -2nd time was only a month ago, police have luckily found it and we've got it back twice, although major damage to steering and locks but insurance paid out to repair.
Friends was stolen last week and they too got it back so fingers crossed for you!!

Know exactly how you feel. We had a RR nicked on night (again bottom of dead end street)
They even had the cheek to push the RR in front of the big one out into the road to get Bertha out. They removed the interior light from the classic so know-one would see them.
This was about 4 years ago, never heard word from the police again. The only thing the asked was "If we do come across it, how do we stop it?" Bertha was a big off roader. We said to watch all the local fuel stations as it was nearly empty so wouldn't of driven far!

That why we ended up building the Disco version. That one has a Cat1 alarm on that even I can not get into it sometimes & I have the darn keys!

Oh & the insurance company royally did us.
They said it was a classic RR so only paid out 4k when it was insured for 15k+ because of all the extra parts that had been put on her.
Bruiser (Disco) is with different insurance company that do a agreed insurance amount.

We think it was either shipped out or broken down. I am more thinking the latter as we went to a LR show & there were trade stands & there was stand that had out alu lift blocks on that my uncle had fabricated & made himself. I came so close to setting too on him.

Hope you find yours. though we felt violated.

Noooooo

Some sods wrote my first car off trying to nick it, it was so old and they made such a mess it wasn't worth fixing

So know how you feel

My soon-to-be wife's car had the side window broken, they wanted the spoiler...I chased them down the road calling them everything I could think of.

Back from the garage with a new window, that same night they broke the window again and there were just some wires left to cut before they could get away with the spoiler. She moved right after that.

It won't be in any high speed chases.....only went 50mph full pelt!!.
Don't think I will get another, they will probably only have that one too. May as well sell my trailer now, been more paranoid at having that pinched since I got it.
Will I hear anything from the police?????....doubt it unless they find it which I doubt even less.
It wasn't joyriders, they came prepared which means someone must have been snooping around which is creepy.
Not quite sooo angry now

dotty - i only got contact from the police because i passed names and addresses onto them of people that might have it, but they didnt investigate it. they did ring me about 1 month after it got nicked to tell me they hadnt heard anything about it or hadnt seen it - great thanks for that, i already know that much lol.

I replaced mine with the same model as i love my landys, we moved house at Easter so drive is different, its now parked behond 3 other vehicles so if they want it they will make noise and wake someone up!

I have had a visit from the police who think it may be connected to some agricultural equip also pinched locally over night. He seems to think it will have been pinched to do a job over the next few nights and may turn up somewhere sometime?...In what state I don't know.
Wrong car if they wanted a getaway vehicle though!!

I agree with Pedantic plus lots of evil worse things.

Aw hun. So sorry. Someone stole our RR outside the house one night - was drunk and missed the bus home, so nicked my car! First I knew about it was a policeman knocking on the door at six o'clock in the morning

. We got it back, dented and battered
