My two yearold pony has a lump in his mouth, it's just behind his incisors and slightly above. It's hard and purple with whitish lines running over it. It's about the size of a cherry and is not sore to touch but bleeds when touched. I'm going to take some pictures of it but anyone any idea what it could be, haemotoma or bot fly maybe? Hope it's not a sarcoid but do they get them in the mouth? Any thoughts greatly appreciated as I'm very worried about it and have never seen anything like it before. I only noticed it today and pretty sure it's only appeared in the last few days.

Looks like an infection. Hate to be gorey but looks like a build up of puss and blood!

Call the vet before it pops and gives the horse a horrid taste in its mouth. I know there quite different but one of my dogs had one and it put him off his food for 2 days. (not good for a youngster). Anti biotics should do the trick!

i agree, i think that is a wolf tooth gone a bit wrong and now infected. my 4 year old had hers removed at 2 years old so yours should be ok (if thats what it is)

Thats about where the canine would come through. Lots like there could be a problem though, maybe its infected. Vet or denist just to be on the safe side.

looks like the wolf tooth has broken the surface and infection has got in to me???Vet and antibiotics i should imagine!!!x

Too far forward for a wolf tooth but definitely looks like a canine tooth with a serious problem! Just the right age too. Definitely one for the vet!!
