i do wonder if that was to remove his tattoo, and therefore his identity
First Case - Farmer was only fined 2,600 after he left 7 cattle to die of starvation and a Weanling had to be put down and 4 more were put down a month later.
Second case - Man was fined 600 (500 for cruelty and 100 for expenses... Absolutely ridiculous!) after he left that pony in a field with those horrific injuries for 3 weeks It looks as if the pony made a great recovery though, which is fantastic.

Unfortunately it's quite common over here and several cases have had a lot of media coverage in the hope that someone will come forward with information
OMFG. I feel sick. In one way I wish I hadn't looked. To be honest I only looked at about the first half dozen or so before I felt like a sick voyeur and had to look away.
That poor poor wee pony stuck in the bog. Can you imagine how terrified it must have been, struggling and struggling to get up. I want to cry.
Right - that's me decided. I need a companion pony so I'm definitely going to try for a rescue case.
Dreadful to see those animals like that. You have to wonder about the people who have them - are they freaking blind or something? I mean, even in ignorance, surely to god they can see that those animals need help ... in some cases just some blooming food! Argh, don't get me started!
Thanks for showing the link - I do always feel we should look at these sorts of things to give us a perspective on what is real cruelty and neglect.
