Has leaned some freshly varnished pieces of wood up against my immaculate Ifor Williams 510 trailer.
I know who the idiot is and I will be dealing with him but how do I get it off without damaging the panel further?
I'm not sure what the varnish/wood treatment is but it is completely dry. :(

Acetone, or nail polish remover, will remove varnish. Wouldn't like to say what it'd do to the panel surface though.

Oh dear so sorry i would feel the same hun, i would try and stay cool and ask the person which make of varnish it was and then ring up the maker of the varnish and ask for there advise on how to remove the product from your tailer without damaging the paint work hope that helps you xx

Thanks very much, you were a calm voice through my red mist! I have trotted out in my socks with my nail varnish remover. Did a patch test behind the mud guard to see I it would damage the panel. It seemed ok so I had a bit of a rub on the varnish and hey presto, it came off! I can still see where it was and I am still furious that someone should pay so little regard for my property but it's off so thanks very much for your help. :)

My fella said straight away not acetone but NO 1 thinners if been on for less 3 weeks. keep applying with a rag for 30 mins then rub off . hope it works and hes generally right :)
