So, I've pretty much got in-hand and show jumping figured, but I've spotted a few ridden classes I'd like to do.

What outfit will I need and what tack do I need for Ned?

I'm an adult rider (haha, it still feels odd referring to myself as an adult!) and I was thinking about doing -

"Best rider" and "Best turned out" although I don't think I'll win either, I want him to get as much experience from this show as possible :)

Also, does anyone know what sort of whips you can take in-hand? I seem to have misplaced my proper cane :( I do doubt he'll need one though!

Local level, I'd just be clean and tidy as possible. Shorter whip, in brown if possible but black will do...

Ok , Ive not been in classes specifically for Best Rider or Turnout , these have been awarded as the judge felt on the whole field . But I guess , tack clean tidy, no bling , not sure about crop/cane but not schooling whip . The overall picture should be pleasing to look at . Quarter marks if needed/suitable , plaiting again if suitable and a good job ( better neat mane than bad plaits !). At the end of the day its what the judge likes .
Im sure someone will have been in these classes and be able to say what is suitable .

Just make sure both you and your horse are as sparkling clean and gleaming as possible. All tack spotless, if possible get someone to give your boots a wipe over on the sole once your on to take away and tiny bits of mud. If you don't have a suitable, discreet whip then don't carry one at all.

Thanks! Good plan, I'll have some baby wipes on hand :)

Are white jods a no no? I do have some cream ones.
