I'm sat here on my own thinking about Lucy and just thought I would share another story of the most amazing pony I've ever had the privelidge of knowing and I know there will never be another one like her ever again.
Her memorial page on Facebook now has 107 members. The thing that shows just how special she was though is the fact that only 13 of those people actualy ever met her. Most of the other people are from HHO. She touched so many people by not giving up in the end but this pony never gave up she faught her whole life I've never known a pony like it such a strong charecter and such a will to carry on. She taught me never to give up and to just give it ago.

Lucy The amazing jumping pony.

Ever since the first time I loose jumped Lucy I knew she enjoyed it. She would jump the jump canter round the school and do the jump again. It was actualy hard to get her to stop. No matter how high the jump was Lucy never needed a runout tunnel.
One day after Lucy had had abit of time off after an attack of COPD I desided to give her a little loose jump in the school. As she had had so much time off I kept the jump small (about 2ft). On this day Lucy was being very naughty and kept running out of the jump. I couldn't understand why as we normaly jumped much bigger than this and she loved it. I desided to build a runout tunnel and put it as high as I could so I put planks on the top hole of the 5ft wings. Lucy went into the runout tunnel but refused to jump the tiny jump so I went in behind her to chase her over the jump. Some of the other girls from the yard had come into the viewing gallery and where now laughing at me. Telling me how useless Lucy was, she couldn't even get over a 2ft cross pole, there horses could jump so much bigger than she could, they often loose jumped 4ft. As I tried to ignore the other girls and tried to encourage Lucy over the jump Lucy stood looking at me with her big brown eyes. I pleaded with her to just jump the jump I knew she could do it, she had done it so many times before. Suddenly she turned to face the runout tunnel. One of the girls shouted "That piece of S*** should have been made into dog food months ago" Just as she finished her sentance Lucy took off. She jumped the 5ft runout tunnel from a compleate standstill. I couldn't believe what I had just seen and when I looked over to the girls in the gallery they where all stood silent with there mouths open wide.
On landing Lucy turned to face me. She looked at me for a second then snorted and ran round the school. As she passed the gallery she had a huge bucking fit and kicked sand all over the girls who had said such hurtfull things about her. Then she came over to me and just stood there infront of me. I could almost hear her saying we showed them.
Afew weeks passed from the loose jumping incedent. I was back riding. I was riding her in the school with a few of the other girls on there horses. They desided to have a game of chase me charlie. Lucy was the smallest in the group she was only 13.2hh the next smallest was about 15hh. The jumps got bigger and bigger. One by one the other girls where elim. Till there was just Lucy and the biggest horse left. The jump was now 3ft the highest Lucy and I had ever jumped But we managed to jump it without much problem. This anoyed the other girl who was still in the game and when one of the others mentioned Lucy had loose jumped over 5ft she got even more annoyed. Unfortunatly the one still in the game knew me to well. She knew I was terrified of jumping and before that day the biggest I had jumped was 2ft9. She demanded the jump be put to the top whole. Which ment the jump was 4ft. She rode her horse into it well but it had the fence down. Next it was my turn. I felt to sick the jump was nearly as big as Lucy. I knew she could jump it but I was so worried I would let her down. I could hear the other girls saying I would never jump it, they said I was to much of a whimp. I started riding a circle infront of the jump. Everytime I passes the jump I could see just how big it was. I felt sicker than I had ever felt before and my whole body was shaking. I could feel the other girls looking at me and I knew they where all waiting for me to bottle it. It seemed like I was circling infront of that jump forever. I probably did 10 circles before I desided Sod it I'm just gonna go for it. I turned one last circle as I passed the others I heard one say well the pony will never jump now she's turned to many circles. I came out the circle and lined Lucy up to the jump. I wispered in her ear "Please Lucy, jump the jump" I felt her take hold of the bit and lock onto the jump. I shut my eyes and just went with the flow. I felt her take off and it seemed like we where in the air forever. We landed the otherside and cantered away from the jump. I still couldn't open my eyes but I haddn't heard a pole drop and from the silance in the school I assumed we had cleared the jump. Eventualy I opened my eyes and looked at the jump still up and looking Huge. I couldn't believe it we had won the chase me charlie, we had jumped the biggest jump we had ever jumped and we did it with them all laughing at us. This was the same pony who I had spent 6 months trying to catch and had spent the last year falling off nearly everyday and I had just trusted her with my greatest fear, jumping. I knew from that moment we had a great future ahead of us and we could achieve anything we wanted to nomatter who was laughing at us and how much they told us it wasn't possable.

Thankyou for reading. I still miss her so so much and just wanted to share another story of our time together with you all.

arhh, good for you. When people say hurtful comments, it may effect us at that moment, but in the end it makes us stronger people. Well done Lucy for helping you so much. Thats a sign of a true team.
By the sounds of your recent posts, Herbie is doing very well too. Well done.

I'd have loved to have met Lucy. She sounds amazing, and the 1 in 8 million story had me in tears.

You did so well with her, and I really would like - as I'm sure others would - to hear more stories about your time together.

Carry on working your magic with the Horrid one, tho i'm sure you won't be able to call him that for much longer :D

You always write such wonderful stories about Lucy, they are a pleasure to read!

What a fantastic little pony she was :)

Thanks everyone. Heres another story If your not all fed up of her by now.

Lucy the escape artist.

Lucy was able to escape from anywhere you put her. She was a real hudini. The only trouble was you couldn't stay mad at her because the way she used to escape was sometimes very cleaver.

The stable.

She would undo the top bolt. Not that cleaver I know as alot of horses can do this. But she would get out even when the kickbolt was done up. She used to kick and kick at the bottom corner of the door till the bolt flipped over. We tried everything we could to keep Lucy in a stable. Clips on the door, Different bolts etc etc but she found a way round them all. She could even undo horse proof bolts although we never discovered how she did that. She could also jump over the door and did this several times but she normaly just undid bolts as it took less energy I think. She even once demolished the entire front of the woodern stable when she had been left in on her own.
One very memrable stable escape happened when we where at the riding school. We left the yard in the eve with all the horses shut in there stables munching on hay. When we arrived the next morning all the horses where loose and someone had been in the feed room and eatern most of the feed.
We rounded up all the horses but couldn't see Lucy anywhere. I was starting to get a little worried till I looked in her stable. There she was looking as angelic as ever. The cheeky little madam must have let herself out, Opened the feed room (which was in a spare stable) helped herself to a midnight snack, Let all the other horses out, then put herself back in her stable. Probably thinking we would never guess it was her. But seeing as non of the other horses knew how to open doors it must have been her.

While tied up.

Lucy very quickly lurned how to untie quick reliese knots. She would get very bord being tied up and just wonder off to find the nearest patch of grass.
I found a new way to tie her up. A knot she could not untie. This still didn't stop Lucy escaping. Because she couldn't pull the end of the rope to untie herself anymore she desided to chew through the string she was tied to instead. Haypresto she could wonder off to find grass again.
Next we tried using ropes with panic clips so we could tie her directly to the ring. Now she couldn't untie the knot or chew through the string shorly she couldn't escape now. But this is Lucy were talking about ofcause she found a way to escape she rubbed her head on anything she could find and took her headcoller off.

In the field.

Lucy loved jumping so yes she used to jump the fences to get out the field but she could also open gates. She also had other more ingeneous or entertaining ways to escape.
With electric fencing if she had a rug on she would just walk streight through it. She had worked out she wouldn't get shocked through the rug. Another way she had of escaping was with tall stakes she would grab the top in her mouth and pull them out the ground one by one till the fence lay on the ground. With short stakes where the electric tape is to near the top to try to pickup the stake she would paw at the base of the stake till it came out the ground. Again she would do this one by one till the fence lay on the ground then she would just walk over it.
Hedges didn't pose a problem to Lucy either. Even if they where to high to jump. Once I went out in the morning to check her and she was gone. She was ment to be in the starvation paddock with the other small fat pony. But there was only one in the field. I paniced and started calling her. Suddenly I heard her whinny. She was in the next field over with all the horses. The hedge was about 10ft high so I knew there was no way she could have jumped it. I walked down the line of the hedge and half way down I found a Lucy shaped hole in the hedge. She had just walked streight through it.
But me favorate escape story about Lucy has to be when I kept her on a big shooting estate and she lived in the field next to the house that the owner of the estate lived in. The owner of the estate phoned up one day to say Lucy was in his garden eating his wifes roses. I went and caught her and put her back in the field. I couldn't see how she escaped so hoped it would be a one off. She did it again the next day so I went and put her back again. After a couple of hours he phoned back again. She was in his garden again I was so embarrised but he was laughing. I said I would move her but he said no just put her in the field and come into the house. We hid in the house looking out the window but making shore Lucy couldn't see us. After a while she walked up to the style (there was a foot path running through her field) She then proceded to climb out over the style. Everyone laughed so much and said what a cleaver girl she was to work that out. I did make the style Lucy proof after though as I didn't want the estate owner to grow tired of Lucys trick and kick us out.

I always say you shouldn't give horses human qualitys but honestly with Lucy it was so hard not to she was just so darn cleaver. Sometimes to cleaver for her own good but she always ended up making us laugh.

love these :)

she sounded like such a character :)

one of my stories of bailey which yours reminded me of is a time i had him at college with me and was sat in a lecture theatre, looked out the window and a small herd galloped by the window with bailey at the front looking very pleased with himself!! he had let them all out the field and led a rampage around campus!

You will have so many more of these stories with little herbie over the years to come too :) Which reminds me i must show you the photos of bailey 2 !!!!! :)

Thanks Suzie86. There certanly wasn't a dull moment with Lucy around. Her antics did get a little frustraiting sometimes but we always laughed after. I have so many storys from our time together. She beat the odds so many times, she saved my life on several occations, she got us in to and out of lots of trouble but most of all we had fun. :)

Your bailey sounds like a little charecter to. (I'm glad it wasn't just Lucy who let others out as well. I'm shore she did it so she wouldn't always get the blame, Luckly we all knew her alittle to well:p;):D)

Oh yes and please can I see pics Herbies twin :D (Although I think yours is a darnsight better behaved ;):p:D:D) I've lost Herbs passport in the move but when I find it i'll look up his breeding and see if there related.

Love these :) Especially the one about the estate! What a little monkey, i would have loved to have seen that :D

Have joined the fb group too, Lucy sounds like a one in 8 million in every single way. I'm glad you have soooo many great and funny memories of your time with her, and that they seem to be keeping you smiling.

Heres another. :)

Lucy the pet theropy pony
It was while I was keeping Lucy at Collins Farm. One of the Liverys wanted to take her horse over to see her mother who was in a nursing home. Her horse wasn't good on the road and inorder to get to the nursing home she needed to cross a buisy road. She asked me if I would take Lucy over with her as Lucy was so good on the road and I could stop the traffic while she got across the road.
We set off and got across the road without much trouble. When we arrived the liverys mum was outside waiting for us as where some of the other residents. Several came over to see Lucy they gave her so much fuss and Lucy loved it. One woman kept calling me Amy and asking why I didn't visit her before. As we where about to leave one of the nurses came over and explained that the elderly woman who kept calling me Amy thought I was her daughter who never came to visit. She had just abandoned her mum there and only phoned every now and again to see if she was still alive and to see if she was due her inheritance yet :(. The nurse said she would try to explain to her that I wasn't her daughter. I told them not to worry if it made her happy let her think that.
All the residence where so happy to see Lucy I took her over nearly every week. After a few weeks a very frail lady who I had never seen before asked if Lucy would bite or kick her. I said no and did she want to stroke her nose. She was very nervous and told me she had always been scared of horses as she thought they where dangourous. I started telling her about Lucys passes and all we had been through in the first few years I had owned her. The woman looked into Lucys big brown eyes and said "Oh you poor thing, How could anyone do that to you? You look so kind and gentle" With that she put her arms around Lucys neck and gave her a cuddle. From then on the Lady was always there to great us when we arrived and she always had some nice treat for Lucy to eat. I would tell her storys about what Lucy and I had been upto and she would tell me all about her life and all the amazing things she had done. The nurses said how much she looked forward to our visits and she seemed to benifit from them. The doctors had commented on an improvment in her Health.
After a few months one day we arrived and she wasn't there to greet us. She had become quite ill and couldn't get outside. The nurses said she was very upset as she so despratly wanted to see Lucy. They wondered if there was anyway we could get Lucy to her.
The front of the building had big double doors leading into a big reception area, There was a wide corridor leading to a large room where the residents used to sit. I took Lucy in the front door and down the corridor, I had to take her saddle off so she would fit through the door into the sitting room but in Lucy walked, as she did she whickered at her old friend who was sat in a chair near the door. Her face litup when she saw Lucys head appear. She asked one of the nurses to get her an apple from the kitchen to give her and we stayed for a while. Lucy being as good as gold.
I left that day with a rather sad feeling. The next week when we went to visit I found out the old lady had died in the night after our visit. The nurses thanked me for making her last few months alittle happyer. I felt honered to have known her she was a lovely Lady who had spent her whole life putting others first. I was glad seeing Lucy made her happy and she was no longer afraid of horses.
We carried on visiting the nursing home till we left Collins Farm. We never went inside the building again though.

Thanks for reading.

Lucy the confidance giver

A friend of mine had a daughter who rode alot when she was very small. She even had her own pony. But as she got a little older she lost intrest and her pony got sold. A few years later she desided she wanted to ride again so my friend let her ride her Arab. It was a desaster and her daughter fell off several times and lost all her confidance. She still loved horses and wanted to be around them so I said she could come over and brush Lucy if she wanted.
She came over to see Lucy alot and would spend ages brushing her. If I went over to my friends place she would come out and see Lucy everytime. One day I said to her "why don't you just have a sit on her?" She looked very worried so i reasured her it would be ok and Lucy would just stand there. She didn't have to go anywhere just have a little sit on her. Eventualy she agreed. At first she looked so scared but in the end she had a big smile on her face.
The next time she came up to see Lucy she sat on her again, this time I led her round the yard afew times.
One day she asked if we could go for a walk down the road. So we went for a lovely walk round the block. My friends daughter had a huge smile on her face the whole way round. Over the next few weeks we progressed to trotting up the road but still on the leadrein. One day halfway round she asked if she could have a go off the leadrein so I unattached the rope and we walked up the road, She asked if she could have a little trot ahead. I said Lucy would be fine so off she went. Suddenly they went through a gap in the hedge into the set aside field. My heart started racing and I ran up the road. It was the field I always cantered Lucy up. I got to the gap in the hedge to see them cantering up the hill. Oh no I thought Lucy has taken off with her. She'll be scared of riding again. I ran up the hill but when I got to the top there they where, both stood there with huge smiles on there faces. "That was so much fun" My friends daughter said "I can't wait to do it again"
In afew short weeks she had gone from terrified to loving riding all thanks to Lucy.
She came to shows with me and took Lucy in classes like Leadrein pony, best turned out and young handler. She won quite afew ribbons but most of all she was enjoying horses again. After afew months her mum bought her her own pony but she still liked to come over and see Lucy and take her out for a ride sometimes.

Lucy and the runaway shetland

We where doing a sponsourd ride with the two children I nannyed for, Max (10) on Yoyo and Abby (6) on Archie.
Abby had started on the leadrein but soon wanted to be let off. We where having a wonderfull ride across the downs and local farm land. The children and I where having a wonderful time and I think the ponies where enjoying themselfs to.
When we got back onto the downs the children wanted to have a canter. I said it was ok but before I could tell them to stay behind me Abby was off up the grass track. We cantered quite away and passed the photographer. Suddenly just as we where about to pull up Archie did a big buck and Abby fell off. She managed to keep hold of the reins but as she got up Archie thought she was going to hit him so he took off across the downs and Abby had to let go. I asked the children if they where ok. Max got off Yoyo to see to Abby and two stewards had walked down the hill to help. I desided to give chase and see if I could catch Archie. Lucy flew across the downs in the direction Archie had gone in. I could not see him and due to the sponsourd ride there where to many hoof prints on the ground and I could not work out which where his. I pulled Lucy up and desided to return to the children. We flew back across the downs. When we got back the stewards had radioed back to the venu and told them what had happened. They suggested they give Abby a lift back in there car but she was worried she wouldn't get a rosette if she didn't finnish the ride. So I put her on Lucy and led her the 7 miles back to the venu. Just after I put her on Lucy my phone went. It was the childrens mother checking to see what had happened. I led Lucy up the hill while talking on the phone. Even after all the excitement she was as good as gold. Just up the hill there was another photographer. He took what is one of my favorate pictures of Lucy.

and he also took this one.

We made it back to the venue safe and sound and Abby got her rosette. The mother took Abby, Max and Yoyo home. I took Lucy back out onto the downs to help in the search for Archie who had just dissaperared.
They checked at home as we lived just two fields away from the downs we hoped he had just found his way home. That was the direction he had taken off in but he wasn't there. I rode round the downs and asked every dog walker I saw but noone had seen a riderless shetland pony. I desided to go down the bridleway off the down into the village next to ours. Maybe he had gone down there and not turned off into the field to get home.
My phone rang. It was my boss and she said they had checked the fields next to the house and couldn't see him. I said I would meet them in the village at the end of the bridleway and we could descuss our next move.
We made our way down the bridleway, when we got about half way down Lucy stopped and whinnied. She just routed to the spot. I told her we couldn't go home as we had to find Archie. I made her carry on down the bridleway. I met my boss on the road who said she had asked around the village and noone had seen him. There was a lady in her garden at the end of the bridleway who said he haddn't come down and out into the village she had been in her garden all afternoon. We desided he must still be on the downs somewhere. I went back up the bridleway and my boss drove up to the downs. Lucy stopped again in the same place. I made her carry on though as I had been told the field had been surched and didn't want to waste time going over the same ground. Lucy and I rode round the downs for another hour. Despratly searching for Archie. We rode up to the top of a hill where you could see the whole downs but there was just no signe of him. My boss drove up to me. I asked her had they searched the whole field next to the house. "No she replyed we just ran up to the entrance to the field and looked in" The field was full of Rape. I can't believe they didn't look round the whole field. A shetland was going to be hidden behind all the rape he wasn't tall enough to be seen from the field entrance. My boss went and walked the whole field and suprise suprise there he was right at the far end munching on rape. He was right near where Lucy had stopped on the bridleway twice. I haddn't seen him as he was behind a hedge and as he was stuffing his face he didn't reply to Lucys calls.
It was such a reliefe to find him and I realy wish I had listened to Lucy when she told me where he was. But stupidly I thought the field had been surched and I would have been wasting time if I looked in there again. I thought Lucy just wanted to go home.
Lucy was an absulte star that day. How many ponies could chase a loose shetland then be calm enough to put a small child on and lead along while talking on the phone. :D:D:D:D:D

Another for anyone intrested :)
My reason to carry on
Life has not been the kindest to me but Lucy was always there to help me through the tough times. One such time was the end of 2008.
I was out riding a young cob on my own. We were walking up the road when he was suddenly spooked by some cows. The little cob paniced reared up and fell over backwards. It all happened so quickly there was nothing I could do.
As soon as I hit the road I knew something was very wrong. My leg was at an awful angle and I couldn't move it. I called for an ambilance and went to hospital. Xrays revield I had broken my left hip in 3 places and also broken left wrist. :( I went for surgury the next day to have my hip pinned and plated back together. Although the doctors thought the bone may not heal and I may need a hip replacement. So there I was 24 and in hospital with a broken hip. It felt like the end of the world. I couldn't walk, situp, get dressed, eat or even go to the toilet without help :( I didn't know if I was ever going to ride again. The future looked so dark. When the phsyios came to help me walk it was so tough and I often felt like giving up. I had a photo of Lucy beside my bed so one day one of the nurses picked up the photo and carryed it in front of me while I tried to walk. I focased on the photo and how much I wanted to see Lucy again. I was suddenly deturmined to get better so I could go home.
I was in hospital for 3 and a half weeks and I was so happy to get home. Twice a day (Much to my phsyos horror) I walked across the field on my crutches to see Lucy. She would hear me coming and run over to the fence to see me. If I was having a hard day and looked like I was going to give up she would call to me as if to tell me to keep going, I could do it.
One day when I went to see her she was very very lame :( I called the vet out who found a foot abcess.
My boss at the time wouldn't let anyone up to change Lucys poultice and as I was on sick pay I couldn't afford to have the vet out everyday to do it. So I had to do it myself. (while still non weight baring on my leg and with one wrist in plaster). I went across the field called Lucy to the gate, Put her headcoller on and led her round the gate (While trying to keep the other horses in the field) Took her up the fenceline alittle and tied her to the fence so I could balance on one leg and change her poltice. Lucy was amazing. She was so quiet and calm and helped me in anyway she could.
One day my boss came out to the field with me. I thought she was going to give me a hand but she just stood there and watched me do it myself. Then once I had finished she picked up my crutches and told me to walk without them. I used Lucy as a crutch. Hanging off her headcoller so I could put her back in the field. She was amazing and if it felt like I was going to fall she would put herself in the way and catch me. :)
After 4 months I was ready to get back on a horse. I got Lucy in and tacked her up. I was alittle worried I may be to scared to get back on after the axcident and I thought Lucy may play up after 4 months off in the field. (Normaly she was a pain if she had more than 3 days off in a row) But I shouldn't have worried. Lucy was an angel. We walked round the block and she didn't put a hair out of place :D. It was like she knew she had to look after me. 2 months after that we where back hunting again :).
I realy don't think I could have got through that tough time without Lucy. I think I would have given up and stopped riding but through it all she was my reason to carry on.
I owe that little mare everything. I miss her so much.

For all those who think she was a good girl ALL the time. :p

Lucy the tank
One of the problems with Lucy was she knew her own stregth and even though she was only 13.2hh boy was she strong. If she desided to go there was nothing you could do about it. We tried everything to hold her a rope over her nose, through her mouth, leading her in a bridle, a control haulter, a stallion chain, Once I even had two big male showjumpers try to piller rein her but she saw a nice bit of grass she wanted and she was off. They tried to keep hold of her but she pulled the rope through there hands and when they were leavel with her bum she kicked out so they had to let go.
We kept trying to get her under control but if she wanted to go she did. Normaly she wouldn't go far, only to the nearest patch of grass. But one day i'll never forget was our first day at Collins Farm.
We had arrived the evening before and I had put her in a stable for the night. The next day I got her ready to put out. I led her out her stable and was waiting for my boss to bring another horse to show me which field Lucy was going in. Suddenly Lucy took off, She pulled the rope out my hand and cantered down the driveway. I was so worried as the driveway came out ontp a main road. We gave chase down the lane. When we got to the road we met a farmer in a landrover. He asked us if we were looking for a pony and said "don't worry all the gates are shut she can't get out this field" just as he finished his sentance Lucy jumped the hedge and ran across the next field and out of sight.
Now I was realy starting to panic across that field was a railway line which wasn't fenced off. My boss arrived in her car and we drove across the field. We couldn't see any sign of Lucy anywhere.
We looked for what seemed like an eturnaty and I was starting to panic. I thought I had lost her forever. Suddenly another car drove up the field. A lady got out and asked if we were looking for a pony. We said we were and then she replied "don't worry we've shut it in our tennis court"
We followed the lady across the field and shore enough there was Lucy wandering round. Luckly the fence was to high for her to jump but i'm shore she was searching for another way out.
I know I should have been so cross with her but I was so relieved she was safe I went into the tennis court and just put my arms around Lucys neck and held on so tight. I whispered in her ear "Don't you ever do that to me again" Lucy sighed and rubbed her head on my back.
My boss had a chiffney in her car so we put that on her and I had to walk her the 2 miles back to the yard. Lucy was whickering to me the whole way back.
I still wasn't mad at her but from that day on she was always led in a chiffney just incase she did another runner. :p ;) :D :D

Our First and only attempt at afill dressage

Lucy was a real dressage diva. If she wanted to play she was quite good and would often get placed but if she wasn't in the mood she would be a right royal pain in the backside. :p She would trot realy slowly, refuse to turn and try to leave the arena at every oppotunity. If she didn't want to play she would do the canter part of the test in her own special pace known as tranter. (She would trot in front and canter behind).
But none of her antics could prepare me for that day at sparsholt.
I had one a free ticket to do a british dressage class. I was so excited as Lucy had been going well I desided to go for it.
The morning of the show Lucy was her normal self. I got her ready and loaded her into the lorry.
We arrived and I got her out and took her to the warm up. We did feel alittle out of place with all the big posh dressage horses but Lucy was going quite well and I was pleased with her. :)
Our number was called. It was time and I started to feel nervous. Our test was in the indoor school. We walked down to the school but then Lucy refused to enter. She just stood still and no amount of perswation from me would make her walk on. In the end the steward led me through the doorway.
By no I was very embarrest but rode round the outside of the arena with Lucy spooking at everything just praying for the judge to ring the bell.
Eventualy the bell rang and I rode down the centre line. Lucy was powering along but when we got to X she just stopped dead. She stopped so quickly I nearly fell out the front door :o . Lucy just stood there and refused to move. I tried smaking her with the stick, Poking her with the spers but she just stood there. The more I tried to get her to move she just started threaterning to rear :( After what seemed like forever (but was prob only 1 minuet or so) the judge rang the bell to say we had been elim :(. As soon as Lucy heard the bell she walked on like nothing had happened. As we headed for the exit the judge called down to us " What a horrid little pony, I think you need some lessons" I just smiled and left the arena.
I loaded Lucy in the lorry as quickly as I could. I just wanted to go home and cry. I couldn't believe she had done that to me :( .
When we got home ofcourse everyone had a good laugh at my expence. Some people said some prity nasty things about Lucy. But the very next weekend we went back out to a dressage show and Lucy was a little star we came 4th and even beat our dressage trainer. :D
But that was Lucy all over if she wanted to play she was good but if she didn't there was no way you could make her. I didn't care realy I loved her and that was all that mattered. I loved the way you never knew what mood she was in.

Here is a vid of Lucy on a naughty day. Doing unafill dressage to music. (I love her comic timing in the canter :D ) And that is my dressage trainer talking in the background :p ;) :D :D When she goes she goes well and we still managed to come 5th :D
