Sonia - the dog that my Dad rescued, she was his shadow and developed cancer. She haemorrhaged whilst we were on holiday and had to be PTS. We've never had a dog since her, she truly was one in a million. I have a lovely photo somewhere of my Dad holding her, will dig it out

There's a very long story that goes with it, but basically she was the only puppy that survived in the back of an articulated lorry. They found the Mum and the rest of the pups dead, seems she had survived by licking the water that dripped in. She never grew to full size, and Dad always thought she was a x breed as she had v straight back legs, but we never found out
My Dad again

Naw, she looks purebred to me, some dogs are less angulated than others, doesn't mean they are cross bred, there is a lot of variation in the breed, they are not meant to be a giant breed, I prefer 'em small! Much more agile apart from anything else :p

I think some of the tinyness also came from the early malnourishment too. She was certainly agile - jumped over and off a balcony with a 15ft drop, broke her leg on landing, and still managed to bite! She jumped because I was in the garden screaming to go higher on a swing.... her theory was always bite whoever was closest to me :D

Yeah, you could be right. Hard to tell not knowing her history or seeing a body shot but she looks working-bred - so throwing herself off a tall building and fighting through the pain to get a bite in would make sense!!!

Lovely dogs,I have just been going through some old pictures myself.
This is Stripe my Lurcher who was PTS last March.

I will dig out some more when I next go home, I know we have one of her when she was younger on the beach

Miss having a dog around so much... I am waiting for a stray, sad looking reject to "come across" so I can say "Dad......"

Here's my old girl from herding lines
(And no, I haven't changed a bit :p)
