Nice bit of bidder stupidity for you.

I have seen all sorts of stuff go silly when two people start to compete. I once saw a small Hi-Fi accessory, which is currently sold in any Hi-Fi shop for £22, get sold for £45 on Ebay, I bet the seller was delighted.

What a nice start to the week

Madness!

When we were moving house I ebayed loads of things, one of which was a lot of 20 rosettes, used rosettes I hasten to add, some of which had my horses name and the date on the back - which I mentioned on the listing. They sold for £30.01 plus postage!!! Mad!

My funniest sale was a used lead rope, which sold for £4 plus P + P. Yep, I actually got money for old rope!!!

I was flicking through TV channels yesterday and there was this 'Price-Down' channel, where people snap up 'bargains'. One item, can't remember what, was going for £10. I noticed in the corner of the screen, though, that the postage was £8 and the calls were £1.50 a min!! By the time the address anD card details are handed over, I'm not sure it's such a bargain...

I've seen many second hand items sell for more than they cost brand new on ebay. Seems to be a mentalitity that 'it's on ebay it MUST be cheap' Madness!

Second-hand Parelli memorabilia is a good one. I sold loads of old Parelli clothes - even a rugby shirt with an oil stain on! I had some very old Parelli mags (late 90's) that I brought from their office for 10p each a while back - none of them went for less than a tenner! The highest went for £13.50!! My friend in Australia has dug out a load of old Parelli stuff, mags, car stickers etc, and is sending them overland for me to add to my Ebays. It's actually worth me paying the cost of that, I will make a great profit.
