Well yous know the trouble ive had at the yard, YOs daughter has turned into a right b***h. Hubby was grooming his horse mo the other day and she came walking in with a friend, looked at mo and said she was disgusted with how thin he looked etc. Hubby just blanked her and carried on grooming, knew she was trying to act big infront of her friend.

Now ive told an old friend of mine that she can ride Mo as she had to sell her horse because of financial situation and it broke her heart to sell her horse. She knows YOs gf and asked if she could hack Mo out with her, i said yes as Mo is a superstar on the road.

She phoned me on saturday morning asking if she could ride Mo and i said yes, i had only returned from the yard after feeding/cleaning out. Told her to give Mo an hour to digest his food. Went back up that night to reclean and refeed, YO came up and said thank you for allowing his daughter to hack our horse mo out! Now i never once gave her permission, and i let YO know i wasnt happy and she had no right to go and ride him. He just looks at me and said that they thought anyone had permission to ride him and they thought they were doing me a favour!?!?

Later found out that my friend arrived to ride Mo only to find that he was already out in a hack with YOs daughter!!!

When i said to her she denied riding him, but everyone else is saying she did ride him. So means i now have to bring my flippin tack down from the yard, got all my other boxes already at home.

Its just annoyed me as if my friend wants to ride now she has to wait until we are about to do so. This other b***h has her own horse, not my fault she cant control it on the road, im so PO that she would slag the horse off and then think she has the right to go ride him, not just that but apparently use side reins on him and then have the nerve to say that he was playing up cause we let him off with too much.

Ive been trying sooo hard for a new yard, ive had several ads in the papers/feed stores but got nothing. I swear im on the verge of selling them all and getting out of the horseworld.

Oh dear - I would be furious if someone rode my horse too. I thought you had found a field for them through an advert.

You have posted so much about this yard and its owners that the sooner you find an alternative the better.

Ugh, what a brat - she clearly thinks she's untouchable considering she's the YO's daughter. Is this the first time she has ridden Mo?
Could you not get a lockable tack box?

OMG! I'd be uncontrollable if somebody rode Titan without my permission. Cheeky b***h! From what you've said, not only did she ride without your say so, she had the cheek put side reins on (I'd flip my lid if somebody did that). Plus she seems to have ridden less than an hour after feeding, as your friend had left time before she went to ride.

Please don't give up your horses because of difficulties at this horrible place, you'll regret it if you find somewhere good a few months later (and you will!) You can't give up because they're horrid people, we won't let you. Something will come up and you'll get out of there.

I feel for you- I was wound up just reading your post!! Yes you must get out- when you find the right place it will make such a difference to how much you enjoy your hobby (that you are paying for!!)... I am such a stroppy cow I would have gone mental, but at the end of the day you are still there and have to keep going there until you find something else. So going mental wouldnt really help. Just imagine the pleasure you will get when you find a new place and can tell THEM what is what when you leave.

Could you keep your reins and girth with you and leave the rest of the tack? Then your friend could also have reins and girth...
She might not bother if she has to find bits... (you never know!)
I feel for you...

There is a distinct possibility that YO's daughter would be cowering in a corner scared witless if I had found she'd ridden a horse of mine without permission........ Really hope you find a new yard soon!!

Sorry ive been fuming about this since saturday. I did have a field for some but its now like a swamp because of all the rain and ive had no choice but to bring them back.

I live on the north coast in Northern Ireland, ive even gone to farmers to see if i can rent a barn lol. My friend works in an estate agents and they sometimes get yards up for rent but hasnt had anything in about 6 months. My ad is continously in the papers but nothing.

Mo is the most laid back tb ive ever met, hes taught beginners and he has such a gentle nature. Hes really built my hubbys confidence. He would never ever put a foot wrong, and then YO tells me he tried to throw his daughter off as she rode him in the arena before heading a hack. She told her friends who i know, that shes a better rider than my hubby as she got him to bring his head in.

She has been staying out of my way, many a times shes run off to the house in tears cause ive cracked with her. I love my horses to bits, they are great big showjumpers or do anything special but they are special to me. She is always talking them down to hubby but never to me cause she knows id flip.

I feel for you but please be cautious about ranting on a forum. It can be read by anyone and these things can get back in no time.
