Have you or have you known anyone buy horsey items (in this case tack), never used it and a few years down the line had a clear out and gone 'don't need that' and threw it into the bin?? I have to say, I would NEVER do it, but my eyes have seen strange happenings at the hunters yard today!!
There I was rumaging in the bin (

) retrieving NEW tack to keep as my own. I got a very nice pony cavasson noseband, new cheek pieces (with £19.95 price tag) a pair of reins (not the best, but would do for hacking) a flash noseband and a pair of stirrup leathers!!
What is this world coming to? Was also offered a few other things, but I have such a large collection of ''stuff''I had to say no!

luckily I have more sense than money! LOL
Iam glad Iam not the only one to be shocked by this!! I did have to dodge used tea bags and banana skins to get to 'the stuff' but it was so worth it.

I have similar situation where I keep my horse. The girl who lives there (she's 16 now) got a new horse last year she'd had a pony which they sold 2 years before hand and threw out all her grooming kit, 5 bottles of coat conditioner, shampoo, hoof oil 3 tubs, the grooming kit tray, mane thinning comb, the lot all went into the skip.

Needless to say I fished it all out and have got enough coat spray to last at least another 3 years as I only use a little bit of the stuff. There was also coat whitener as the pony was a grey, so is the new horse but she wanted everything new as the old stuff was dusty.

I boiled up the kettle, got out the Fairy Liquid and washed the lot up. To top it all she's not the least bit interested in the horse and its never ridden. Too much money!!
