Hello,

While I am off-games due to fat tonsils I thought I would do some picca posting!!

K gave me a grid lesson on Ben a few weeks ago, as far as I know he has not done much coloured pole jumping just hunting over in Ireland. This was the 2nd time I have SJ'd him - mainly concentrating on schooling and fittening on the gallops and hacking.

As you can see he is still trying to canter over the jumps and has not quite figured out how to push with his bottom and both back feet at once, but bless him he tries! And the improvement by the end of our lesson is obvious.

The next time I took him in the jump school he actually started making a nice shape and pinging as opposed to throwing himself!!

Anyway - CC welcome as always, I know I need to fold from my hips and not get in front of him!!

He seems to be getting in quite deep to the jumps, but I think that's because you were trotting into them...

I do the same 'getting ahead of the horse' when I jump, it's a hard habit to break! But you are sitting straight, and looking where you're going!!

Bit more practice and you'll be flying! :)

Yup, we were having to trot into the grids alot just to get him thinking, otherwise he just demolished every jump and then was like "look Mummy, we did it!!"

Love him though, he may not be the most talented, but he tries his heart out and really looks after me!!
