Sorry to be a complete pain. So its pretty clear which breed I'm after but I also have a penchant for chestnut mares..... I want something to hack and have general fun on, nothing uber competitive. I'm fairly competant and age is unimportant to me as long as the horse is happy and sound. Budget 2.5k.

Like the first connie the best of the connies, dont really go much on the oldenburg and the tb..... I WANT!

A.- looks nice and sound but you might need some more info on what it's like ect. ect

B- Very nice looking, and hasn't done too much so you could make it the horse that you want! This would be my choice

C- Sounds ok in the fact that its good in all ways, nice age and nice height. Not as nice as B (in my opinion)

D- I wouldnt really buy/invest in something that is 17, and she hasn't really done a lot for her age, I guess I wouldnt pay that much for something that old

E- Look very nice, and has done a bit of everything, jumps well and dressage looks nice from the pictures, good price

F- This is my other favourite

Wow, Connie cross Fjord, that must be a fantastic combination!

Does sound very sweet - pictures need to be posted!

Its a toughie isn't it.... I think I like A, B and F the best. I do like the older connie though - something really genuine about him. I always end up with oldies and crock animals though so trying to resist!!

B - Nice type, looks bum high so will probably grow so not much good if you want to show - oneof my connie boys who was 14.1 at 4 ended up 15h by 7!
E - don't know anything about Oldenburgs but looks a really nice type

tbh it would be perfect if B did go overheight as I'm tallish. I'm not into the showing malarky

Muchos thanks for all the responses, its nice to have some different views.

A and B, though if you don't want to show then I would go for B, sounds more like it'd turn a hoof to whatever you fancy! Personal choice would be E, go nicely with my oldenburg mare

Sitting on hands so I can't ring up!

I like b the best. Reminds me of some of the ones I used to jump. She seems a nice sort. I do like the older guy as hes very typial Connie, but I wouldnt ever buy something that age personally. Chestnut TB is nice, though saying she is well bred is completely false - sire is hardly even average let alone the dam. But she does definitely look a nice riding type so breeding doesnt exacty matter anyway.

A was divine - hmmm, yummy

B - definitely worth checking out.

Not so keen on the rest.

Re: the Connie x Fjord - how has it turned out coloured? I was sure that neither breed would have coloured in their pedigree?

I am a huge fan of Connies too - so versatile, and I put my IDxTB mare to a connie stallion this year - but unfortunately she hasn't taken - very disappointed
