Somebody is WAAAAYY to heavy to ride!!!

that is absolutly appalling, that poor poor horse. You could see its reluctance to walk forward when she first got on, and who could lame it.

By the way, although I'm only 20, and 5ft8 I can't get on my 18hh gelding from the floor, not a chance!

I would like to re-iterate at this point, that there is nothing wrong with using a mounting block. I do & I think it is better for your horse.

The point of me mentioning it here is that she is so obscenely fat that she can't even get on properly from a pick-up truck! It is WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!

Just read all of the comments - the horse has gone back to its owner, but the people in the vid have starved one horse to death and are starving a couple more - what horrible people there are in the world

I can't view it until I get home because You Tube is blocked at work! That said I too want to protest indignantly regarding derogatory comments about riders not mounting from the ground. I too have a bad back at at rising 49, I'm a bit creaky, so I never mount from the ground. It is also much better for the horse's back and the saddle for everyone to mount from a block of some kind!

Hello?!!! This isn't about not getting on from the ground!! Christ! I wish you people would read things before getting all hot & bothered! I doubt you weigh more than your horse and as I quite clearly stated earlier

I don't care if you slide onto your horse from the roof, as long as you are not so fat that you can't even get into the saddle properly and you don't nearly break the horse in the process of 'getting comfortable'.

Well at least it managed to shift her eventually.

Poor horse.

In defense of big riders I know a number of very large ladies who ride incredibly lightly and well BUT they are responsible folk and know which horse they can and cant get away with getting on, whether its from a block or the ground.

The woman in the vid clearly doesnt fall into that category!

Utterly disgusting. That poor horse looked like it's legs were shaking when she first got on. I'm not surprised it was napping and did not want to go forward. That was cruetly IMO.

I loved the part where the horse rid itself of her monumental body. And where the hec was her riding hat??????

I'm sure the OP's comment about getting on from a trailer/not from the ground was all in context, but I have to say since breaking my back I have to use a block........

I SO hope this horse is not subjected to this again on another occasion.

There isn't one comment there about mounting from the ground (unless its been removed). There are a couple of comments about being able to mount by yourself, but that doesn't necessarily preclude using a block. I am a short-arse and ride a big horse, and you'd be AMAZED what you can use for a mounting block in the absence of an actual block - feed room steps, paddock rails, elderly chairs...the list goes on.

That lady is MUCH too big to ride, and especially too big to ride that pony. I am much smaller than her (though still lardy) and I would never get on a pony that size. I'd be afraid of its poor little legs telescoping into its body as it sank to the ground under my weight ! If you are so fat that you need someone to pull you into the saddle from the other side, then you are too big to ride, sorry. I was pleased when the poor little pony managed to throw her off at last.

Blimey, if I were that horse I'd have not let her get on in the first place! Poor little horse didn't know what was happening to him when that huge person got on him - did make me chuckle when he chucked her though

Yes sorry - was at work and only had time to skim read!

Have now watched the video. I'm someone who usually champions the larger rider 'Fat Bottom Girls' by Queen being our song (me and my big mare

), but that woman certainly shouldn't be riding even a large horse. It was just depressing to watch. I couldn't see a cause for her coming off though, but the camera shot wasn't that good by then!

good god what the hell is that women trying to do? Could you actually be effective as a rider if you were that big? (not meant in a mean way just wondered if you could actually collect a horse up etc when your spiiling out of the saddle that much,i mean com on she had to get on the back of a pickup to mount, now i can understand getting on from a block as i too have a awful back and mounting from the ground is quite painful for me since i had a car crash, but a pick up........................ = cruel and insane

I am glad that most people seem to be getting the point now!! BTW, I had another look at it and it actually looks like she just slides off the saddle. Maybe she was trying to turn or something?!

I don't usually comment on these threads but that video has shocked me deeply. That horrible woman deserves all she gets. I can't see why she actually fell off since the horse doesn't seem to do much of note but I can't imagine it would take much to make lardy woman slide from the saddle anyway.

I am even more appalled in light of Weezy's comments. How could you starve a horse to death when you weigh more than a bl**dy shire horse yourself?

That is wrong. Did you see the way she bounced up and down at the beginning, and the pommel pushed into her belly. What a lovely horse

YAY! Good for you horsey for telling her to GET OFF!!!

I've never seen anything as disgusting in my entire life - that horse was screaming at her to get off as soon as she sprawled across it's back!!! I was furious when she was bouncing about on it's poor back - the poor thing - I thought it was going to buckle beneath her - that's so wrong - Glad the horse got it's own back!

I thought it would be a particular region of North America, so are morbidly obese people riding all over? Its sad if its not challenged by those who they would ask for assistance - because they would have to have assistance to get on
