There's some research going on at Sparsholt about it too Quantity of movement of different sizes in different set ups.
why not, it is more of an issue than lots of science that goes on!
Don't own a single sports bra, I could get away with no bras, but for decencys sake and the fact they shove what little I have into a shape, I wear them.
Don't be envious of small chests, they bring issues of their own, all those lovely dresses/tops with womenly shaped top halves just look ridiculous!
I've never ridden in a sports bra! Tbh I haven't ridden at all much in ages but don't even own a sports bra!
I'm 32 d/c depending on make and it never bothers me nor do I feel too bouncy!
However of course maybe I just don't know any difference Must try one!!
lol, I've just sacked the only staff member I had who desperately needed one! It wasn't the floppy boobs that worried the horses it was the fact she was a crap rider who couldn't sit down! And was unable to listen! Floppy tits DO bring the shoulders forward - and riders use their upper arm to help support them -restricting the giving hand - both bad! So of course horses suffer - hardly needed scientists to work that out!
Another one here with no need to wear a sports bra riding, I guess having a tiny (coughnon-existentcough) chest has some benefits. Actually one of my treats to myself in the winter is to wear no bra down the yard because no-one can tell under all the layers and it is nice to not have all the straps and underwire, never noticed the difference riding.
That said I have recently bought a load of sports bras because i've been doing a bootcamp and I actually find them more comfortable than normal bras and I might see if I can get away with them under normal clothes.
Im guilty of needing one and not wearing one. I have a couple of sports bras and wear them mainly for when im showing or competing. When I just jump on or go for a hack I dont usually bother.
Those who don't need to wear bras, you might find some the light support tops made by fabletics or any of the pole wear companies are more up your street. I love them, can't wear them more for pootling around the house though!
I personally agree with the research. They must however minutely affect your balance and so affect the horse. I'm a 32D and would only ever ride in a sports bra. Gets rid of the wayward bra strap problem as well ....
