Just watching 'Real Rescues' on TV. A young girl had fallen of her pony, she wasn't wearing a hat and was wearing Wellies rather then riding boots, her foot got stuck in the stirrup so she was dragged along a wooded track.

Luckily she escaped with only a fractured Collar bone and some muscle damage to her arm, but it could have been so much worse!

I guess she learnt her lesson the hard way!

I have just been walking round the house saying "stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid girl". Given that she had only recently broken two ribs and hurt her ankle, she should know that falling off isn't an unlikely event. What I was more annoyed with though was the fact that her mother didn't seem to care about the hat either and the programme should have made more of a thing about the fact that you should wear hats.

Was totally gobsmacked watching.

Then even more so when she fell off doing her GCSE riding and broke two ribs and got top marks!!! I hope I misheard that.

I hope the three riders in shorts and pumps riding through town last night saw that programme. Idiots!

Hadn't she been to hospital 3 times in 6 weeks due to horse related incidents?

I agree, they should have had a disclaimer or something at the end saying you should always ride with hats!
