Someone help me make a decision!

That's not expensive ! £2500 for a safe all rounder is very good value. Tbh once you have one you won't be able to put a price on it again.

Looks a darling and would defo buy - horses like him don't come along that often, especially ones that you can trust with your children!

Also you know him well so there will be no hidden problems, the issues he does have are all minor, and already have all the tack etc....no brainer to me x

Havent read all the responses but this is just what I would do as well. You go for him if not post him to me! I love cobs like this dude. The only downside is you are going to be forever feather washing him or trimming him up. looks absolutely nice. Yay go for it.

You could spend and awful lot more for an awful lot more trouble. If he is the basic dude snap him up. Most horses can get excited in company that is normal. Mine never got out of 1st gear but in company became Red Rum with brakes and would run out of puff anyway.

You go for it. I looked at plenty last year and you are lucky to have found him. There is no such thing as a perfect horse. They all have quirks, just like us.

About £1500, if he doesn't get schooled he won't be working in any outline, but if he's safe out on the road and hacking then that would be a fair price I think.

Plus points are that you already know him. His 'quirks' can be worked on as hes only young yet. He sounds like a good one - go for it and the price sounds good xxxxx

I think he is actually a bit expensive and you could find similar cheaper, however if you like him and know him, whats a few hundred, as everyone says. I don't think hes worth over £2k.

My mare was up for 4,000 ( way over priced IMO) I sat and waited as I knew they needed the money it was January the horse was living out and really hairy and to be fair they hadn't done anything with her most the winter!!! She came down to 3k I still waited.... In the end I got her for £2000 inc her trailer ( old trailer not roadworthy but sold on eBay spare and repair for £250) so in hindsight I got her for )£1750 inc her £800 saddle! I knew the mare as had loaned her previously knew all her faults etc shes a lovely safe hacker etc .. A madam in the school but a generally nice horse and been with us 3 years now won't ever sell her xx

Congratulations, I hope you have a very long and happy partnership.
Kx

Me too, seriously you have done the right thing. I looked and looked last year or was it the year before and what you have got is just what I want. They dont come along every day. So once you have signed on the dotted line just enjoy your horse. He looks lovely. Enjoy!

I feel so relieved to finally have an answer as the lady has been a bit indecisive over whether shed sell him or not, so at least I now know :-)
