Someone made a pony-less girl very happy...

Hi Sarah
Just wanted to let you know that I emailed Diane (as I'd been to her show and loved your post).
Diane has now read this thread but unfortunately didn't receive the letter you sent her. She did say that she would be delighted to hear from you and suggested you use the Shield Show website to contact her. I contacted Diane via shieldshow@hotmail.com

All the best Sasha

Oh no, I can't believe she didn't get my letter! I sent it to the Shield Stables at the address on the website. Blinkin' Royal Mail! But wow, at least she found out somehow, fabulous!

Message for Sarah from Diane..
Sarah, I hope you don't mind me posting this openly but it's quite funny (please note readers that Sarah pointed out that she had used her best handwriting on the letter which Diane sadly didn't receive. Her response is below)

Sasha :

You are so kind to take so much trouble - thank you!!!

The Shield Stables doesn't have a letter box - our regular postman brings stuff to the house opposite so it must have been an "irregular" postman doing the round on the day it came, and perhaps tucked it into the gatepost. How could he - and BEST WRITING too!!!

My correspondence address (the house) is at the bottom of the front page of the website, after the location address, so easily found. Am looking forward to the next installment and I trust that is in BEST WRITING too!

Hugs,

Diane

Oh how funny! I emailed her yesterday at the email address you gave me, I hope she received THAT at least! I am currently in bed with the Norovirus so hearing from her has cheered me up no end :D
I'm going to snail mail her again and ask if she has any suggestions for "passing on" her kindness to me (as another poster mentioned earlier), maybe a donation to her favourite charity perhaps, or something along those lines. Unfortunately if I tried to do what she did and found my own unhappy little girl to treat for the weekend, I'd just be treating her to unlimited vomitting at the moment! And I think as well that's what makes what she did so special, because you just couldn't do that in this day and age anyway. Well I'll write to her again and keep you posted ;)

Aww this is lovely!

I'd love to be able to pay it forward om behalf of all those who gave me a chance. Maybe one day I'll buy a pony and do the same sort of thing. (any excuse to have a pony to be honest!)
