How I can turn my horse out in a reasonably non muddy field, with a fleece, stable rug and turnout rug on, all full necks etc, and he came in tonight with mud on his withers!!! What the hell is wring with the wierdo!!

That is pure talent. LOL! Is it excessively cold where you are or is he clipped? Seems an awful lot of rugs.

Ha! I feel the same, out in a heavyweight all day and still comes in with mud climbing up her!

He isn't clipped, but kept in his summer coat so is well rugged! (he is a nightmare to clip!) he feels the cold too!

The old stallion used to roll onto his back then wriggle down the hill. All mud was under rugs & truly ground in. Worst thing was he shared his field with one of his sons, who he taught the trick too...

I feel your pain! Mine came in tonight with mud plastered all over his rug, mud under the neck cover, and under his headcollar - at the poll! How?? Just how??? -.-
