I have crohns disease and I am currently not too well. I am taking a polymeric diet which means I cannot eat anything and am surviving on these liquid feeds 4 times a day. My energy is pretty much zero so I came home from work early and had a nap :D

Now I have to go to the postoffice before it closes in an hour, my ponies have escaped into the next field (they are safe) so I have to go and round them up (no easy job!) and then clean up at home. However I cant get off the sofa, so please KICK ME UP THE AR*E AND TELL ME TO GET GOING!

I am on fortisips but can only manage half a bottle at a time 3 or 4 times a day.

I dragged my bum to the yard and I am soooooo glad I did. "The Uncatchable One" came straight to me :O) Hes filthy and very nervous of grooming brushes, so i thought id give him a hose off... He loved it so I gave him a bath and he was in heaven! I was scrubbing and he was very gently grooming me back. Even managed to wash all his legs and paint his feet (normally nervy round his back legs)

I only got him 9 days ago and he has come on so much, so proud of my little man and love him to bits already!I felt like he knew I wasnt feel good and was an angel :O)

I think the house may have to wait after the bath effort, but so proud of my new man xx

I was honestly expecting trauma tonight, and he couldnt of proved me more wrong :O)

I even love all the bits of feed in my hair where he gave me kisses and cuddles :O) xx
 
Sorry to hear your flaring :( What is fortisips? Is it like elemental028/ modulen? If so I feel for you because they tasted rank!!

Ohh sounds like you had a good time after all :) So lovely when you have those bonding moments!
 
Its pretty much the same but much more tolerable! They come in little bottles too so no faffing around making them up. You can get milkshake style and juice style. The chocolate one is nice. For tea I am having toffee which is a new one :O) xx

Will have to remember that for if I'm on them again. Do you find they help with flare ups? Or are they just a way of getting calories? Only asking because a while ago I suggested them to my doctor instead of steriods and they said they only really work for children :confused:
 
They work for me. If I start on them as soon as I start to get symptoms, 80% of the time I can stop it in its tracks.

I cant have steroids any more as I have kind of become immune, so I always go with the elemental diet first and hope for the best xx
