i spend my life working and looking after horses,as we all know its an expensive habit i think being a drug addict would possibly be cheaper.anyway as winter is approaching i think a touch of the blues is setting in,my home is dropping to bits and i dont have the time or the money to fix it or redecorate yet i am paying in excess of 300 a month for livery and competing, i also treat myself to a new pair of boots and feeling rather annoyed with myself for buying them when i havent even got a toilet seat :confused:
so am i bonkers?????
 
No and you're not alone! I often think about how much money I'd have if I didn't have a horse and how lovely my house would look as I could afford all those little jobs that need doing - but then I look at how happy she makes me & how grumpy I get when I cant ride for a couple of days & I know that spending all my money on a horse is definately the right thing to do!!! Not sure my husband would agree though! :)

I think it just depends where priorities lie, and I am thinking that if you have no loo seat then, either you are single, male, or have a family that don't care about it.

My family would not be amused if the horses came before a $20 loo seat :( :)
 
Perhaps just buy a loo seat so you feel less bonkers?? :D You could get a cheap basic one which is better than no loo seat at all and might put you mentally on more of an even keel?

This is exactly why I rent! :D
 
This made me laugh I have not had a loo seat one of our toilets for about mm 5 years, we do have two but I use the one without, I did buy one recently but it was defective didn't fit so I took it back I have not got round to getting another yet and no I am not a total hobo.

I would be minted if I did not have so many horses, but they are fun make me happy keep me fit and are what I do all day every day, I also have not had a boyfriend for 5 years at least , roughly that is I was discussing the fact I could not remember exactly how long the other day with a friend and she did say the fact I could not even remember or seem to care was because I was mad and weird because of the horses.:eek: So maybe I am not the best one to ask.
 
loo seat purchased from argos online god knows how ling it will stay in the box before it gets put on :rolleyes: think it was just a bad day yesterday not feeling half as bonkers today :D
 
We are the same, our house needs some attention and the carpets are torn, missing hinges, wonky guttering etc but yesterday we spent £350 on a vet and a sweet itch rug

We have a smallholding and the things we go without just to keep the animals in the lap of luxury doesn't bear thinking about

But we are happy :)
 
Another one here. House is falling apart, I am falling apart but the horses have everything they need.

I guess you can sit in a smart house, looking good, but crying on the inside or you can be out there doing what you love.
