It's been four weeks on Sunday since the three neglect ponies arrived at my yard. Today the stallion (Ash) had a make over, was fully clipped had his tail washed and trimmed slightly and hot clothed. Followed by a two hour leg stretch on the yard and about 20 rolls :)

Considering his been stabled 24/7 for the past four weeks, other then leaving the stable to be tied up outside to be mucked out his not gone anywhere and his an angle! Before any comments why he hasn't had turnout, he was in isolation for three weeks and until his gelded I have nowhere suitable to turn him out, so for time being he now gets walked in hand and loose time on my yard.

I think from the photo's you can tell he enjoyed his yard time :)

I don't know the full story, but it looks like the only way is up! Looking forward to following what happens next. :)

It's looking like he was dumped along with a mare in horrendous condition and a young foal. I took them in four weeks ago, had World Horse Welfare and police involved. He was riddled with lice, worms and god knows what else. His now on the up and is starting to look better as each day goes by :)

The plan is to geld him, let him recover then start to back him when his picked up condition as his around 6/7 years old and then find him a 10* home. Although I do very much like him so could easily keep. But at 12.3 his way to small for me sadly..
 
How lovely for him, he must be feeling transformed. You are doing a great job with him, I bet he's very glad to have found you :)
 
I've just gone back and looked at your older posts about the rescue horses. Seriously credit to you, you are doing an amazing job and they are lucky to have found you :)

Will post some updated photo's of the mare in a few days once I've clipped her out over the weekend.

This is the foal happily turned out with my rising two year old. I need to clip a couple of matted patches on her hind legs that won't brush out at all, but otherwise she's so much better then she was :)

It's been very stressful over the past four weeks. Been thinking what if they came down with something bad, what if an angry owner turned up and started or worse even took them over night and did anything to my yard/other horses. How was I going to cope financially seeing as I already have five ponies of my own right now. I had a few days where I just cried because I couldn't see how I was going to manage, been angry at having to muck out three stables twice a day, was fed up of seeing my horses having to live out because these three had taken up my yard and I couldn't even bring mine in and tie them up on the yard :(

I've had thoughts of why did I take them in, why didn't I just leave them on the side of the road for someone else to deal with! But being the person I am I would NEVER have done that! But there all honest thoughts that I've had.

Things are looking up though, one is now turned out. So only two stables to do on top of the fields. Weather is improving. Now just to go find myself a money tree to pay for the stallions gelding & passport/micro chip haha! Or another job :o
