somerford park farm ride

hi all im going somerford next weekend to get some hunter trail practice in with some friends. the one things that always gets me and i cant do is jump down the damn steps...any advice tips?

Does the winter park ride have steps, I can't remember from last year, there's the steps into the water.

I'd sack off doing full steps and go back to getting the horse off some small banks and drops first. Repetition is key with stuff like that.

hey yeah winter ride does. horse is fine with steps its me i dont if i should fold or lean back really far let go reins etc haha

The steps on the farm ride are quite small & wide so I just always sat back a little but gave the horse it's head/went with the movement. No idea if it's 'right' but I figure if I stay on & have control, it's good I loooove somerford, not been for years, really miss it They've improved it loads too in the last few years I think. Have fun!

thanks so much ill try this approach i either lean back way to far to to far forward lol i will try jus a little tilt bk lol!! i absolutly love it there its been a year since i last went z

Is it the ones into water or the dry ones further along?
Maybe try the smaller ones first and build up?

im ok on the one in water but ita the dry ones ill just try and stay balanced and stay on haha
