I'd love to go to the beach. Is there anywhere in particular horse boxes need to park or any area of Ainsdale Beach to head for?

We go up the coast road and park off the roundabout with the horse and carriage statue on it, sorry I don’t know how else to say where we park ?. There is another more formal car park but it isn’t in hard standing and can get quite busy.

I tend to head to the main beach car park. They usually direct you to the right hand side away from cars/dogs/families etc. It is a massive parking area on sand. But it does get very busy. Once you are actually out on the beach riding there is plenty of space. I've been on some really busy days and although it is busy within 100m of the car park the rest of the beach is usually very empty as it is so big! Compared to formby which I find is much busier as its more narrow.

Just wanted to add its £15 to park a car & trailer/box. Some people pull on the verge and there's a pub car park next to the beach which is cheaper but again it's pretty small. I like the convenience of parking on the beach.

Head for Pontins! Parking on a huge flat solid beach right there.
