well.....verrryyy good day. and im home early!! got up at 4 this morn, went to the yard, left and arrived at somorford at 7.30. walked the course, which was lovely. beatifully presented, bold, and had some good questions.
got back, and went and warmed up for dressage. he was quite dopy, so on went the spurs. went in for my test, and came out feeling he could've gone better. (got it on vid - will post it up in picture gallery in a bit) dad thought it was a very good test.
anywho, onto the showjumping. he warmed up terribly, sitting behind the contact, and not letting me touch him. after warming up for a while, he went better and i went in. he was then the totla opposite, very against the hand, and he was running through my hand and we had 2 down. deserved them though!! jumped fence 8 and cantered out of the arena, to be shoutted at that i'd not jumped the last fence....nipped around and popped over that...but i managed to cross my tracks, and gain 15 time....GRRR!!
went XC early after finding out my dressage score of 27.5......27.5!!! then i threw it away missing the last flipping fence! i was best dressage in myt section!!went xc and didnt think id get around - there was a lot to look at including fence 4 which was 2 steps up to two strides to a hedge - there was a lot to look at but he was fab - anyway, we flew around the rest, and went clear, couldnt believe it..,. we even took strides out in places - like the double of ducks - was an easy 4 strides ... we did it in 3!!!
so overall a fantastic day considering my previous events - but i am kicking myself about that stupid SJ error!!!
also in a big dilema about what to do with the horse .... but thats another story....will post in new lounge - need advice and opiions!!
