Anyone know an update on the ground? Also if coming from the South the best directions, last time used sat nav got lost for about 40min. Can anyone help on that front, as have a very very nervous (mother-not the best traveller or map reader) for company.....
 
If you are coming on the M6 get off at J18 and turn right, just after the petrol station not that far after turning off the motorway turn right and stay on that road it takes you straight to Somerford

Im worried about the ground being hard too. I am going to walk the course tomorrow to make my mind up. Competed there once before when it was hard and horse went lame so dont want that again. Sorry cant help you on directions, hubby does the driving. I will be on forum tomorrow evening to give report of ground
 
Ground maybe a little on the hard side as we've had very little rain but dont know what preparation they will have done to it.
J18 go right, take road towards Holmes Chapel
Before getting into the centre of Holmes Chapel, take right turn, A54 to Congleton (turn right through housing estate after petrol station)
Straight through traffic lights, over bridge and keep on that road. You go through Somerford village and then its on your left hand side, you cant miss it!
When you enter, follow gravel road straight ahead, dont turn right into carpark, its usually well signposted

can anyone tell me what the XC is like? the last one i did was stafford and the horse has since had a break but not been xc schooling.
