So... back in early Autumn(summer) I hosted a couple of meet ups at home, simply as a training aid to help teach my rescue dog that new people aren't all horrid. It did him the world of good, we all had a nice eve on both occasions (I think!) then everyone didn't reply ever ever ever again...so until this eve when I made contact with one of the original non scary new friends...I was thinking s*d the lot of you! so just thought I'd mention again via a thread instead of pms that way no pressure to reply.
THE RULES:
Nice calm sane people only please!cardboard cut outs welcome tho think females only again as he's most scared of new men(steaming divets appear more)
You must like big barky(scaredy) dogs and food...he is scared of eye contact and nervous of new people but soon settles if you don't point and stare at his knocking quivvering knees..the last eve we had he cried when everyone left so it WAS amazing progress.
You will get barked at ALOT when you first arrive..but you will regain your hearing sooner or later...probably(think of it as an advantage for christmas shopping in supermarkets with multiple toddler tantrums occurring in all aisles all at once..)
You will be fed nice things and cake-tho you are all welcome to chip in-makes it more fun to have weird concoctions!
Ideally max 4 as small numbers will be less stressful for him( and me!)..but happy to do a couple esp as its nearing the festive season.
Thats pretty much it... will be nice to meet a few more of you and maybe some familiar faces.
