Having just moved my horse to Somerset, I need to find a new physio/chiro/farrier/saddle fitter/dentist/anyone else you can think of ;) Any recommendations would be v helpful...

Tea and rainbow drops for anyone who can help :)

Hi Nutkin welcome to North Zummerset.....I'm not too far from you.

I have heard that Chris Puddy is v good although not used him myself, I use the lady from Murphy's saddlery in Hewish...

Farrier - Ian Archer

Physio / Chiro - Lorna Brown / Nikki Routledge / Penny Gunter

Vets - The Stables Equine Practice, Tim Randle

Dentist - I use vets but in the past have used Toby Lee who is v good

I'll have a cup of tea thanks :)

Jason Sommerville is brilliant farrier.
Physio - Claire Kincaide
Vet - Francis & Jackson
Saddler - Ian at Equicraft, good fitter and carries a good selection.
Dentist - I use my vet but Wayne Abbott comes highly recommended.

Wandamare - Thanks :D All very useful! How do you rate your farrier? (Stupid tea smiley won't work!)

woodlandswow - thanks for that :)

Ooh, two recommendations for Jason Sommerville... sounding good :)

Thanks :D

lol, will prob end up using some of the same :). Prob won't change vets, though, and want as many personal recommendations as poss, since my horse is a walking disaster, and very, very special (not in a good way, either...)

Will prob also be making a lot of use from physios, saddle fitters, etc

He's only supposed to be due in Jan, but I think he'll need to be done earlier.

Shall I leave the vets number on the board, or text it to you?

Dentist ~ a man call Francios (trained with Toby Lee) he is FANTASTIC with the horses.
Vets ~ I use Stables Equine Practice but might move to Bushy
Physio ~ Claire Cincaid (no idea how to spell it!)
Saddler ~ I dont really trust any, that doesnt mean to say there arent any good ones in the area!
Farrier ~ I use Ben....no idea of surname ... im pretty uselss!

let me know if you need any numbers

Vicki - ok, will do. Which farrier do you use? And do you know if he does natural balance or square toed fronts? ETA - will the dentist be this month, do you think?

Thanks HollyP :) Think someone else uses Claire for physio, too... Do you have her number? PM me, if you prefer. Ta

Hi Nutkin, Ian Archer is great with horses, v reliable and not massively expensive. Jason also has good reputation round here so he would be a good option too.
