Our riding club is off to Stockland Lovell for a 3 day camp next April (woohoo!). We are booking it all separately and although SL have given us a list of local instructors, we want to make sure we get the right ones. Could you recommend some good instructors in the area please?

We will probably have 4 groups ranging from fairly novice and nervous people right through to those who are eventing at open novice so all sorts of instructors will be needed, for both flat and jumping (xc and sj). Somebody who knows the xc course well there would be an advantage as we won't have a clue where we're going!

Any ideas gratefully received.

anna gally (believe her surname has changed since mariage but i dont know what it is)
sophie clarke
jo may
becki fryer
most of these regularly teach at the pc/rc camps.

Thanks very much. Any of them particularly good with novices? We also have a few middle of the road people who don't necessarily set the world on fire but are happy to be doing the heights they're doing without being pushed too much and others who want to work up to bigger and better things so happy to hear which ones would be good for which groups.

I went to the SL camp in Sept and the best instructor there by far was a lady called Nicola - can't remember her surname though, sorry. SL will be able to tell you.

She was just brilliant, for all levels, and got you doing loads of stuff and pushing you to improve. And what I really liked about her was that even in a group lesson she still managed to assess and focus on the individual, giving each person in the class their own areas to work on. Everyone on the camp wanted to take her home with them to have lessons all the time! Very highly recommended. Have a fab time, I LOVED it! :)

id say...
becci fryer/jo cooper for the nervous/novices
anna gally/alaina webster for people in the middle
sophie clarke/andrew lovell(good on the xc) for the more competition/moving onwards and upwards people
hope this helps and hope you have a great camp.
