Conformation critique..

Okay, so i have been pondering about showing Jack next spring/summer in-hand at a few local shows!

He is coming 6 years old, entire, about 10hh? Havent measured him yet, as he is not back from 'stud loan' due to complications in travelling etc.. :)

A bit of background info:
I bought Jack at a livestock market early last year, and he was untouchable, he now leads, ties, grooms, baths etc.. and is generally a very nice and well mannered young man!

Okay, so you might be thinking.. Well, this just sounds like a normal CC?

Heres the catch....

Here are a few pictures of Jack:
(These are from last summer.) And are the best ones i have on my computer, when he is back i will take some better ones. .

This one is of one of his front feet, showing off his 'racing stripes' No idea if it is any use.. but i will add it anyway! :o

Also, can i please have opinions on his weight please? These pictures are all from about a month of owning him.. I thought he was ideal/maybe a bit skinny, but then it was leading into summer and he has 5acres (shared with cattle)

Thankyou everyone!

Mince pies if you got this far and read all my rambling on!!

Here is a picture of Jack looking very adorable! (Please excuse the dirty bucket...I think it was a stain from god knows what! - Probably a mineral lick..)

Forgot to add!! Before i get a slating!

His hooves are very long in that picture, the picture was only taken a month after we bought him, he couldn't lead, only had a headcollar wrestled on him and 'bucket trained' .. They are now all sorted!! :D

Didnt even want to try picking his feet up at that time.. !

I know nothing about Donkey confo but I am loving his stripey legs lol!

Here is a link to the Donkeys being shown at this years Royal Highland Show so it will give you an idea to match your lad up against.

Eitehr last year or this year a donkey did the private driving class as well I think - against big flashy Welsh Cobs, Hackneys et al.

I love his stripey legs too!! lol.

Thankyou for the links! I will try and compare them to him! :)

No criticism, especially if you've sorted his feet, but...

Be very careful if you're keeping him on cow pasture. Donkeys are more prone to laminitis and abscesses than the worst pony, but unlike a pony you won't know about it until serious damage is done as donkeys won't show pain.

Thankyou! Yes, feet are all sorted now!

The pasture he is on isnt wonderful, its nothing like 'dairy pasture' :)
He will be brought in at night and walking daily when he is back, i am a weight worrier!!

Thankyou so much for the advice! :)

Arh....know nothing about donkeys [assume that the confirmation is the same as a horse, being a four legged creature] but he's lovely.....do they all have stripey legs?
