Something to aspire to fine gentle horseman

Really interesting, especially when he talks about giving a horse a purpose to do something. It's definately a thought to keep in mind if working with a problem horse, if all physical reasons for a horse 'playing up' have been ruled out it could be that it happens to be more intelligent than we give it credit for, and needs a job!

Lovely horse, thanks for the link.

:D Reminds me of one of the crazier PR stunts I pulled in my youth! We were promoting a Quarter Horse Open Day in aid of RDA in Victoria - and I played the part of the pole! Trainer was more nervous than me - the horse was a QH stallion who was ACE at his job - but trainer wanted me to lie face down!! No fear - said I - I want to SEE a hoof heading in the wrong direction!

It DID get us on all 3 news channels that night!

That's a great video and it's nice to hear Jonathan speaking about giving Quincy a job, as this is exactly what Henry Blake refers to in the books he wrote back in the 1970's.

Nothing new in the world, it's just a matter of rediscovering old wisdom's.

Exactly what I was advised to do with Malaga
