Like everyone else I’m getting fed up trying to dry wet, soggy, muddy (also crappy) rugs and I have been searching the internet for a rug dryer radiator type thing but have only found ones which are over £700 and rising! :o(. I did see one type in one of the free horsey magazines but can remember which one and I’m sure it was under £400. Can anyone on here recommend me one or point me in the right direction. Many thanks.

I have a t/o rug which has nylon lining and is very comfortable for my big shouldered high withered 24 yoTBx. I leave his rug on because he is dry and toasty warm underneath the wet outer and it is dry in the morning.
It would be much cheaper to buy another very comfy rug for your horse and leave it on?

Mine is the Rambo Trio, very comfy, no rubs and interchangeable liners which fit easily into your washing machine

I bought a centuar rug dryer ( 3 rug radiator type)got itat a good price as new they are £700, but had to travel 200 miles to collect so put a nother 100 on it for fuel and time, (but still cheaper than a courier)but still worked out a good price compared to others ive seen, have a look on ebay they sometimes come up on there.
I also do as others do and leave rugs on over night, so long as they are warm and dry inside, the rug will dry out overnight

We have an oil filled radiator permanently on in the tack room and hooks in the roof beams that we hang the rugs from. Its quite a small tack room so works quite well.

When we had stabled ponies and the old type of rug that took hours to dry the most effective solution was an 'airer' the type with rails that you pull up and down from the ceiling, then a small radiator underneather, just a simple electric one was all we ever used, and the rugs would be lovely and dry next morning and the clipped ponies loved having warm rugs on!!
