I hope she doesn't do this with me on her

Mind you, BH isn't much better sometimes!

HA! The expression on BH's face made me snort my tea :D Even when he's going rodeo-style his face still looks like it's entirely too much fuss and effort and what's in it for him at all. I think you should rename him Eeyore.

Looks like Nitty's hock is getting better anyway! Even if she does put in that move, you'll survive. Knobberts used it the other day - and that's a long way to fall from - but it didn't hurt too much ;) :p

Haha Trish. Life is terribly hard when you're a BH dontcha know?!

Is this any better? Not great quality, I think my camera lens misted up when I got it out of my pocket!!

Nitty is feeling very well at the moment. She is always playful mind you but she used to just run around really quickly which never bothered me too much. But her bucks and rears are getting bigger and bigger and the time to get on her is getting closer and closer. Eeep!

Sheep- it is still up in the air as I am waiting to see how her hock goes but it seems to be going down quite quickly now so the time might be drawing close. I doubt I'll start her before spring though as she is very, very hairy and I don't really want to end up doing her in the dark. I had sort of resigned myself to the fact she might not get started until her 5yo year due to her leg but as it is better now I have to brace myself for impact and buy a new body protector I think! :D

I'm sure I read somewhere that what they do in the field (buck/rear/sky leap) is going to be their default naughtiness under saddle :p :D

Well I'm for it then. Nitty currently has the following in her repertoire

rearing upright and walking on her back legs
bucking whilst travelling at speed
all four feet off the floor at once as in the picture
galloping flat out and skidding to a stop in front of the fence.

Eep.

I haven't (before this morning) ever seen BH buck in the field. He usually just trots after her!

*giggles* and there was me thinking of you as test pilot for Georgie! Her best trick is the vertical takeoff with all four feet then when she's about as far off the ground as she is tall she explodes with a big buck. When she was having one of her silly fits she was so involved in her antics that she managed to buck and jump right over the top of Charlie! She rather had to = he was slap bang in the way.

She falls over too Hollysmum.

I have it on good authority that after I had left the play continued and she ended up on her bum not once but TWICE. Little minx! Last time I watched her fall over she fell right on her back and then commando rolled under the fence, jumped back up and carried on as if nothing had happened.

And j_t I'm not sure I fancy test piloting that one!

But at least she will still look pretty when doing it :p :D and her hock is looking very bendy fingers crossed its back to normal soon :)
