Figuritively speaking of course!

Boxed up my mare and pony to indoor school today to practise for our dressage next week. Sometimes my mare can be so bloody stubborn and fights me all the way yet other days she is good as gold and does everything wonderfully.

Today was a fighting day - I will not accept the bit - I will charge in canter at 100 mph - I will stick my head up in the air and I will pull your arms out - so there!

Lets hope she's in a good mood next Sunday!

Anyone else know the feeling?

I know how you feel. Took my chap to a show today usually is a good boy. But today he gave me hell! Broke away from the lorry three times, once he managed to leave his headcollar behind, ran off and into a warm up area. So embarrassed! The class was in hand but he was leaping about and spooking at everything, just being so strong! Was so looking forward to going and he ruined it. He is only rising 4, but usually so good. Supose I just put it down to a bad day out

Horses hey!

Yes mine was pure evil today! Dumped me in a SJ clinic after the first fence (and she really meant it), then proceeded to try to kill the yard dog, buck me off (attempted!) several times, and was generally an utter utter cowbag. Got off, then got back on about an hour later....worked for 1.5 hours to get some sense out of her.

Seems to be the day for naughty mares. I am about ready to give up on mine!

Yes know that feeling well ! , he's as good as gold at home and tends to be quite lazy, and at pony club rally today he was a nut job!! prancing around when he came off the lorry , bucking and running off in his class

, all that in front of the dc !! ( whoops)!

I am going to use the bad weather as he's excuse. It was very windy today. They sure know how to show us up when they want too! I hope next sunday your horse makes it up to you! Let us know how it go's.

My mare had a multiple personality problem today - one minute she wouldn't go forward and I'm kicking like hell, the next she's bombing off and I can't stop, she jumped a sizeable corner and drop hedge, yet stopped seconds later at a tiny rail... she quite happily flung herself into the water jump down both a step and over a jump, but would she jump out up the step the other side??? Oh no... just stood, refusing to go forwards, in the middle of the water jump!!! Madness!!!

But glad to hear its not just me with a moody mare today!! (plus grooming her was a complete no no today - she looked at me with 'you must die' eyes as I just approached her, dandy brush in hand....)
