Lil had a "moment" tonight out on a hack. Made the mistake of getting off to lead her and she galloped for home. Poor Lorraine who had kindly come out on a hack with me then couldn't hold her horse either and he galloped for home as well. Luckily we were on our own land so they weren't in danger but it was a little frustrating. Thankfully people on the yard caught them and no harm was done. I got back on and took her in the school so she didn't think that was the end of it.

Just sooo frustrating. I know we'll get there but I'd rather not lose limbs in the process.

Glad to hear everyone's OK and no harm done. I watched our horse and carriage disappearing into the distance at high speed, leaving the driver and I behind the other day. Scary stuff, but as long as no one gets hurt you do just have to try and put it behind you. :)

You sure do :) i remember my 1st day down my new yard on my very fat little gem of pony. me and the girls all went on a hack to the beach banks and to cut a long story short, two of the girls fell out(one of them walked off and refused to come home with her) another had an asthma attack, another girl got off to sort her out, gave her pony to one of the girls who had fallen out, the section D reared, she lost control of him and he galloped off home galloping under a railway bridge on the side of a cliff and over a main orad all the way home while im trying to catch him on my little plod haha!! :) now THAT was a day ;)

These things happen. We're all bonkers for mucking about with horses! :D

You take care though, young sports horses are a pain in the backside. :)

and marshmellows (is that how it's spelt ?). Yup, just one of the dubious pleasures of horses......

I fell off getting ON the other day - does that make you feel any better ? :D:D sm x
