its getting closer each day to next year! in fact i believe its 30 days until x-mas!!!!

so anyway what are your aims for the horses, get to a certain level, work on particular movement or just enjoy your self and have fun?

Ultimately have fun, but getting the boy out introing, and hopefully enjoying himself and getting consistant DC would be nice!!
smile.gif

erm consistant at PN level, and would love to see how her sj improves if it doesnt then i dont know what ill do! if everythng goes well then hopefully aim for Novce later on, but who knows, i want to just have some fun

Get it sound and keep it sound! Seriously would like to do another BE, affiliate dressage, just generally gain mileage and let him proove himself as the wonderful hossy he is!

How about yourself?

Gosh 2007 already - well nearly.

I would like to be competing successfully at medium level, got my first test on Sunday and then think about Adv med for the winter - aaarrgghh that is sooo scarey!

Look for a 2nd horse, youngster to start again with - why oh why do we do it - and basically carry on enjoying it
smile.gif

How about you?

well over this year 's winter i am just working on the new boy, lessons etc! Next year i have lots of plans. I hope to be competing BD elementary and medium about mid spring hopefull then towards end try advanced medium. I also have try outs for scottish young rider bd squad in march time so aiming for that too. i really want to get out eventing but if we do well at dressage then that will hasve to wait, also some bsja too! by the way this is if all goes well! does it ever?
grin.gif

i cant wait!

Get Boss' DCs at Disco & NC and Fox if we are lucky (given up on BN idea, I think he would just stand and laugh!!)

Buy my ultimate horse - I know what I want and I am not going to waiver until I find it!

Well primarily i want my boy back to full fitness, and that will be a bit touch a go until he is finally fully fit.

Then the aim is to have some fun on him at BE intro to give him some confidence and pop him round some BSJA BNov. then hopefully we will be off and away and back to BE PN and BSJA Disc.

But you never know!!!!!

With the Ginger one id like to get our xc solid and get her having plenty of fun, do a couple of intros then get out PN and pony club intermediates and (would ideally love to do maybe an pony club open or two at the end of the season if she is going well and we're up for it

) but we'll see!!!!! Get our dressage polished and continue improving the showjumping

...and ill be one happy girl

Just the one horse at the mo, had a terrible test at the nationals (elementary) so one last go at the winter semi's in Feb at elementary, out of elementary points now so no choice but to up the anti! Hopefully we are ready for medium so will need to work on the changes for adv.med.

Based in Herefordshire so noooooo where near you up in North, although do get up there a lot, the boat is kept in Glasgow (I don't sail though only clean it!)

Your horse is new isn't he, what a lovely looking chap he is, I was very jealous when I saw the first photo's go up, you are going to have a ball on him...

Weezy - so what is the ultimate horse going to be like?

I'm looking for one but haven't got as far as you in knowing what it is!

GOOD LUCK TOG!!!! let us know how it goes, i would love to qualify for nationals! have to work on that too! lol

thanks, sometimes i feel he is too good for me but i am learning so much and he is too - he is happy so thats what counts and ill get there, not as quickly as proper dressage rider but we will in time!
i will have to get some more pics, lesson on saturday so will post them at weekend!

WEEZY- tell me all about this ultimate horse?

With Hattie, I plan to get her to some more county show and hopefully qualify for CHAPS championship again.

With the wild boy, hopefully get a new carriage for him and get him to some shows- easier said then done, some how I have to get horse, carriage and harness and me to the same place!

Flora - make up for our lost summer, and get her out at intro/PN next season.
Sophie - improve her confidence SJ (she panics if she hits a fence and backs off from then on) and see if we can get her up from PN to Nov.
Ben - have a good winter's hunting (and find a feed that keeps weight on him!!!), another intro or two next year as well if he's up for it (at 25yo I will let him dictate his schedule)
Fiona

Coloured- Hmm in the short term I was a super first few monthes of razzing about, good hunting, good results hunter trialing and I want to tackle some open teamchases with him. After april I will get to grips with this flatwork, I will BSJA him, and I will get some clears, I simply must, I wont be doing the horse any good if I dont.

Well I would like to get our BN DCs and a few Disco DCs, possibly jump a few 1.05m opens
grin.gif
! We are working on our dressage, have qualified for Trailblazers 2nd rounds so would like to do ok at that
smile.gif
. I'd also like to do and Intro or two - would be happy just to get round the XC
wink.gif
!!
And above all just to enjoy ourselves!!
laugh.gif

anything would be good. basically slowly building up the fitness and keeping him sound. still trying to accept that he'll never do dressage or jumping again and it's damn hard. hoping to get him out and about to some veteran showing and maybe some prelim HC just so he feels he's back in the dressage arena coz he really does love it. bit of a step down from Medium though - still sad about it, but guess I should just be grateful he's alive and well.

i know its hard star, my other boy, well he wont event or jump again and is not really a dressage horse, although i was told that we wont do dressage either, i find it hard all the time, starting crying the other day when i found his xc boots !!! but he is alive, recovering and i still love him - what more can you ask!

I'd like to do some JAS classes in jan/feb and actually have my horse properly fit in time for march (that'll be a first!).

I would like to be consistent at PN and then have a go at tackling a novice and see how it goes. I would ideally like to do the PC open area horse trials but I did them in 2005 and despite what the PC say it was almost iodentical to the BE intermediate course so we'll see.

A non-horsey aim for 2007 is to get the best I can in my A levels.

Ernie - For him to come home safely from about 4/5 runs pointing. If he disgraces himself in the members he'll be going eventing!
smirk.gif

Rhi - If I still have her she'll go to Bramham (in-hand), the Royal Welsh and then Pavo 07...Des thinks her year will be as a 2y.o....so we shall see!

You are little more than a passenger.....

Would like to have a go at my first Adv. but that all still depends on alot of things, so could well be a bit pie in the sky..
Would like Squeaky do become consistant at N. maybe have a go at Int. probably just to qual. for a 1*. so would like to do that most of all i think!!
As for Socks/Sula/Orla/Spooky who knows what they'll all be up too.. would be nice if Orla came back out without forgetting everything she learnt this season.. Sula could go two ways, she could have babies, or she could try for the next level.. Socks is only 4, so i don't like to have too many plans for him, but hope to get him out introing sometime.. Spooky, i don't know, probably going to become a racehorse to showhorse thingy..

To get final BN D/C and then maybe try Discovery's!
Qualify scope in any class
Qualify Blue chips in Novice
Find him a lovely home around September time
smile.gif

never mind all this horsey stuff, my aim as always is to find a rich man or win the lottery so i can become a happy hacker and pay someone else to muck out!

To finish a fab season hunting do a bsja BN hopefully on a ticket then find him a wonderful home where he will be loved and go hunting all the time !!!

Then.. find a brand new horse! want something that could do intro want to find the right horse!!!
