Daisy, daughter, is 3, her pony is 5, not owned bu she rides every week.

Well today lilly ( pony) was a cow, she was bucking and rearing, so me not wanting to see daugher hurt grabbed her off.

I checked lilly all over , took her saddle off, checjked her tummy, and nothing, she had calmed down, so out Daisy back on.

Daisy said I was a slly mummy and thought that lilly was funny and she like her ' Dancing'

Could not make her stop until I took her florescent jacket off, then she was good as gold again.

It seems it was this..... a couple of people told me that I should have kept Daisy on, incase lilly was getting into bad habits....

Are they right..... I think not, even though Daisy thought it was good fun, I do not feel it was right to keep her on, no matter how well she was riding it, she is only 3 and no strong eough to control, and a one point Daisy would not get back on because I scared her...

She did get back on and tok her jacket off, and lilly was brill, but hiw far do I let velcroe bum Daisy take control ?.

BTW excied as beach ride tomorrow

Tbh I think bearing in mind your daughters age I would say you did the right thing. Both rider and pony sound young so would it be possible to try to get an older rider to school your pony?

I think you know your daughter better then anyone.
I think you did the right thing, and even if it wasn't, it is your job to protect your daughter, if you don't think she is safe, you should absolutely get her off.
Have fun on beach

Normally pony is great with h er, and I love her as well.

Lilly is soo into Daisy, she is the only who can ride her!!!!! odd I know, but htey are one and the same in personality, and lilly is soo light that she can nnot carry much weight, a typical show pony.

Such a shame as A boy how rode her lovely has just gone too heavy for her
