and they show he's STILL anaemic albeit only slightly this time...

globulins still high (58- should normally be around 20-40)...

rest of bloods are fine...which is good

still no idea why he's anaemic...

so anyway cue another haemoglobin shot from vet!

Well I've asked about the virus thing and vet says it couldn't be a virus as it has gone on so long...?? (this all started at the end of last summer!)

About the ulcers...I just don't know---I thought something would show up in the rest of the bloods to indicate that?? I'll mention it to vet though, thanks

He's currently getting Propell Plus and that seems to be doing wonders for him- on the outside as he isn't lethargic anymore (though it's hard to know if this is from it or from the haemoglobin shots!)

I'll research Visorbin then---did it lift your pony's count?

Thanks

Yes, visorbin was a complete godsend for him. There is another which I am led to believe has pretty much the same ingredients called equi-sup, but I have only used visorbin. Towards the end of his life, he lived on Visorbin all the time, as whenever he came off it his RBC went all wrong and he picked up low grade viruses really easily.

Hope you soon get to the bottom of your boy's anaemia. I know how frustrating it can be when you don't have a cause for the problem!
