sorry to go on........ but i really need your input regarding a pony that i have my eye on. He is at our yard and is a 14.2hh fine welshy. He is a jumper and also dressage (has points) i have ridden him 4 times and really like him, but he is 15 years old, i would want to do a bit of pre lim dressage and some pleasure rides up to 25 miles. I have hacked him out and he is lovely. Now as a youngser wanting to do jumping, dressage and pony camp he would be worth the £3000 that the owner is asking - but as my 'baby' and for the work i would want him for, 15 is quite old. Now, i realise that it is all a gamble really with horses and ailments (you could buy a 5 year old that passes the vetting and it could become unsound for years after a month) but i feel that £2000 would be a good price where i would consider him - at a push £2500. What do you guys think? I know that if he is a safe ride and the 'right one' for me you cant put a price on him but do you think that the owner could realisticly get £3000 for him (i think he can put stops in whilst jumping)
