Ok, so I am still having problems at my yard and cannot find anywhere that has space for 2 horses so the decision now has to be made to sell my lovely youngster as my other is having treatment and I could never let him go anywhere else. So the mad part is, I have been avoiding farmer for a while now so we only exhange waves in cars, he is agressive, rude and very threatening and for some reason has it in for me. We had a big blow up about a month or so ago and previous - when I say blow up he shouted and I didn't dare say anything back. So have been keeping out of everyone's way and keeping my head down, now 2 stupid things have happened over the last day, firstly - I have been blamed for getting one of the other girls on the yard to use easi-bed (she used to be on straw bought from him and now he's losing out), I only moved from hemcore to easi-bed after she used it as it was cheaper and she was getting on very well with it. He has said that it is not going to rot down and we shouldn't be using it. Then secondly I have just had the farmer's son on the phone moaning that - although I told him me and some others were going to buy in some hay until his was ready - apparently he wasn't really listening! but that he was really annoyed that he had spent so much time and effort making hay for us and we were buying it off someone else. (2 huge reasons for not having his hay - I do not trust there is no ragwort in it and secondly it was a little too green and this other stuff that someone else had seemed to be almost ready) ok the problem was that the stuff we got in turned up and was very green - but we didn't know that, but why did he phone and shout at me when 4 other people bought from this supplier and have used him a lot in the past?? I'm sorry for rambling on and if it doesn't make sense but I am so upset and at the end of my tether that in order for me to leave this place I will have to sell my youngster as no-one has any space for 2 horses

Strawberrys and champagne for all that got this far xx

hi joeanne, thanks for thinking of me but it's been done so many times before, I have called every place possible that people around me in Cambridge have suggested from here and either they are too far or as i said full to the brim - problem is that the weather is good at the moment - once it changes even more people will be looking!!

South, i.e. near duxford/sawston etc. I can travel towards s walden, royston, and towards newmarket a bit, but can't really do the A14 and it needs to be close enough to work to get in, in the winter at lunchtime. whereabouts are you jumpingjack??

You seem to be an easy target for both of them - probably because you stay silent and don't stick up for yourself. I guess the others have done in the past so it's you they pick on now. Not sure what the answer is really other than standing up for yourself a bit more and making sure you don't get blamed for things you haven't done. It can't be easy though. Fingers crossed that you find somewhere soon and don't have to sell your youngster.

any chance you could have them on seperate yards near to each other for a while until space becomes available on one of them. Difficult arrangement i know but least you will be able to keep your youngster.
Hope things are sorted for you soon

If you're really stumped, you can keep them with me for a bit. I'm based just outside of Cambridge on the west side and we have quite a bit of grazing at the moment. The fields probably wouldn't take 2 more over the winter but it's summer now and might buy you some time? We don't have a surface but we do have stables etc.
