I like Leovet Silver Salve - use it for a different issue (weeping eyes which get sore underneath). Keeping a mask on to stop the pony rubbing is key in our case too though, but I’m sure you’ve considered that or are doing it.

Do you think this is allergy related? I am having good results this year with Loratadine antihistamine, just standard supermarket stuff, for pollen allergy in Old Dobbin. Using one 10mg tablet per 100kg bodyweight, given in the morning. I tend to use zinc and castor oil cream for most of his grazes and play-fight marks. Cheap enough to slather on and keeps flies from landing.

I haven't tried Silver Salve for calming itching but I really rate it for cuts and sores.

Everywhere I look Bite back is really rated, it’s helped my TB recently when he got a weirdly irritated cheek, it was amazing and stopped him rubbing overnight.
I was pretty shocked when I got home from work this evening at my pony though. He looks awful :(

Good shout about the antibiotic cream. I once had some for Cec and used it up on this pony. I think it helped, I’d forgotten that
I’ll actually speak to a lady I work with, I remember her telling me she spent the day mixing creams- she works for an equine vet. She told me what was in their own blend mud fever cream and I was a bit 😳
I can probably knock up my own for next to nothing if she tells me her secrets! 😂
Wash it then I just use savlon and hydrocortisone cream human stuff on Arabi as I think his allergic to bite back I only use that on Louis.

I find alot of human cream and treatment better for Arabi.

Just incase your pony is sensitive to things I can't use sudocrem on Arabi it makes his hair fall out so be careful.

Ihad a similar problem with it with my ID, his skin literally peeled away like he had sunburn and for weeks I wasn'tallowed to put anything om from a pot until he'd sniffed it 🤣

My fjord rubs her face raw every year and I smother it with Filtabac. I keep plastering it on for a couple of days and it dries to a sort of protective layer which I leave (checking it everyday to make sure it's still dry and not getting worse) and it heals up underneath.
I'm just about to try this so it's good to hear it can help. Sweet itch pony has really rubbed his ears and even Sudacreme has failed me.
