So as you are all aware I'm sure I've got a beautiful yearling whos from WHW. She's an absolute superstar. Yesterday she gave me such a scare thinking she was really ill with lami and it made me realise just how much I love her.

She's also spent the last few days having "behaviour" lessons from me and her new field mate, our 12 year old mare. The improvement she's made in only 3 days is insane - she now does back at the merest touch of a finger, she mostly understands that "over" means swing her bum away from me, and she is already respecting my space in the field and stopping a foot or so away from me.

So, here's my beautiful girl. I love her so much. (Although I loved her slightly less when I pulled no less than 52!!!!!! sticky green things (from thistles?) from her mane today!!!!!)

Ah...stickybombs! Kelly's favourite! And my enemy! :D

I feel for you, we've just got Kelly back into action after 6 months off work with laminitis and pedal bone rotation :( the most amazing feeling ever! And it does make me feel like I've never really realised before just how much I love her, it did really hit me when we weren't sure what was going to happen - I want to cuddle her all the time now, not that she's too pleased about it!!!

She's absolutely beautiful :) you've got a gem there

KellysHeroes - I kid you not, 52! And the worse thing was her flyfringe got the chop because shed successfully stuck her mane to her forelock and there was no WAY I could get the fly fringe off. So, scissors came out and now shes without a fly fringe!

Horsecrazy25 - me too! She had me so worried yesterday!

Wonderwall - thanks! She is pretty unique it has to be said - her square, her horses head (can you spot it?!) and the big diamond on her nose to show you where to kiss!

Dawnsuth thanks - not sure she's "lucky", im making so many mistakes with her being my first!! but I think im rectifying the mistakes as soon as i can and she is definitely learning! But i'm hoping that so long as you care for them as most as is physically possible, you can't go too far wrong?!?

Tormenta - she is very kind natured. So far shes not bitten or kicked, the only injury was when she trampled me!! but that was my fault for being stood in front of her when I was trying to teach her to walk over a hose!!! Again, learning curves ;)

Pippipony - I'm glad too! Although luckily she has never been mistreated as she was born at WHW I'm glad to have helped her. They'd definitely be my first port of call when I look for a horse again, it was so easy. I'm like a walking advert for them - but trust me I dont work for them! =]
