SORCY, PC... ect

Living in the city, I don't know many horsy people

I was wondering what clubs I could join? They'd have to have meetings in hacking distance (unless I can scrounge a lift) so SORCY's good because they have a load of stuff at ashton court. I'm 14 and will shortly have my own pony.

Oh yes, what exactly is SORCY? I've accidentally stumbled across their shows many a time when walking the grandparent's JRT. Was never able to stay long though, as he's a monster around horses

Lots of Banwell PC people are based in Ashton/Failand, and many events are held at Barow Gurney. I would always join the PC in preference to SORCY, though if you have to be able to hack there at least SORCY stuff is accessible (it ain't great tho')

SORCY stands for self organised riding club for youngsters and has been going for at least thirty years.

Many of the original founders and commitee member have passed on but it is to them many riders owe their thanks
