sore back

Vet been to see my beloved horsey , she has a very sore back , god knows how she's done it, plan of action is 4-6 weeks with physio if that fails then will x-ray , the words Kissing spine did'nt sound to good , along with not curable, cryed all morning, has anyone else been in a similar situation. she's sound on the lunge , do i walk her in hand ? she is 7 years old..

I am an Equine Sports Massage Therapist and my advice to you would be don't panic I am sure it is not as bad as it might seem right now! Gentle exercise (handwalking) will prob do her good as long as the vet hasn't said otherwise. Keeping her circulation going with some walking should help ease of stiffness.
