I haven't seen J stamp or itch but I was scissoring his back leg and he was a little bit agitated when I was combing it. It looks like it has ridges and looked quite thick with white flakes and was pinker than normal.

Any suggestions?

Did try and get photos but they aren't great.

He stamped the leg that I think is the "worst" this morning out hacking, should I get the vet to do the mite injection?

I'd try it, nothing to lose. It will answer that question at least, there seem to me so many causes for scabby itchy legs, I think its process of elimination to find what works

He wont let me clip his legs at the best of times, I just don't want them getting so bad as I cant really see whats going on. Ugh... another vet bill....

I have a set of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08532L6YP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share they're very quiet, cheap and clip short. It's the only thing I can quietly take up supercob's legs, he doesnt love it but will tolerate much better - clippers is just a battle I cant be doing with - throwing himself about etc. They're all much of a same thing and you can get them for about £10. They're slow but do the job as long as I keep on top of it all

I've got those. Unfortunately he doesn't tolerate anything on his legs at all. He gets really upset.
