Sore on horses lip

Found these little sores on the insider of my Boys lip and just wondering if anyone knows what they are or what causes them? Don't seem to be causing him any pain or discomfort

Buttercups can cause this, but not the right time now. If there are sheep on the land, or has been recently could be Orf, or worms can cause them too. Might be worth getting a worm check done anyway.

Google summer sores - I can't see the pic very clearly, but it looks similar to that - the vet suggested we treat with equimax wormer and that cleared them up.

They look similar to the summer sores but a much less severe version think that could be it! Thanks for the help!!

Is the horse young? my 4yr old had bits like this at 3ish and the vet said they are very common in young horses, there are nothing to worry about to and leave them alone! they went away on their own and all was well

what's orf? My girl gets these every year and is pastured on shared fields with sheep, never found a cause and worming doesn't seem to make a difference

Very common and they will go away of their own accord in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the help his worming is always kept up to date so think he should be okay for that, ill leave them for a bit and see how they clear up
